Up for auction is an extremely limited edition Zombie Max version of the Hornady Ammo Plant, which normally retails for over $1300.
There is only currently one more of these in the world, auctioned for USA Shooting back in April. This one here is signed by Steve Hornady (the other was not). This was originally an idea by the Hornady staff to surprise Steve for the celebration of the release of Zombie Max ammo, and the detail is amazing on it. Take a look at the pictures. There is custom artwork on every element of the Ammo Plant.
This is our second charity auction for HAVA, Honoring American Veterans Afield. It is a project to take veterans and their families into the shooting sports and hunting world. It is a great cause, and this Ammo Plant is beyond extremely collectable. Even if Hornady made 50 more of these, which they won't, it will be the most valuable collectible of the Zombie craze in the firearms industry, and it will perfectly compliment the boxes of Zombie Max ammo many of us are already saving.
The Hornady Ammo Plant handloading/reloading system itself is one of the most popular progressive reloaders in the world. It is capable of pumping out hundreds of rounds per hour, and works really well.
And no, it does not make rounds that are only accurate on head shots.
