This is a video of a half hour “fireside chat” type interview with NRA President David Keene. You will most likely have to sit through a short advertisement to watch it, but it is actually very good. There are a couple points at the beginning which everyone should share with their friends and legislators, outlined below. The most disgusting thing about this mess is that it is readily apparent at this point that President Obama and the anti-gunners at Brady saw Sandy Hook as an opportunity. How disgusting is that? Is America’s 2nd Amendment freedom really going to fall victim to Michael Bloomberg’s money?

You may have read the article on Drudge that suggested this fight is over, but it is not. Contact and re-contact your legislators and tell them that we offer NO QUARTER to politicians who vote against our 2nd Amendment rights. We will also support our representatives who stand behind our rights, even if we don’t agree with everything in their platform. American gun owners will not tolerate any new gun legislation as a result of the PR campaign from Sandy Hook. That means no gun bans, no magazine bans, no killing our gun shows, no stopping private in-state transfers of firearms, and NO CLASSIFYING US ALL AS CRAZY SO YOU CAN TAKE OUR GUNS AWAY.

Here are some points from the video:

  • NYC Mayor and media billionaire Michael Bloomberg immediately got on board with the PR campaign to exploit Sandy Hook and pledged to finance the attack on the 2nd Amendment the way he attacked the cigarette companies, which was 600 million.
  • The public relations campaigns and new organizations are being funded by Bloomberg.
  • Obama has enlisted his campaign organization. They are being driven to create grass roots support for attacking our 2nd Amendment rights.
  • In a recent Rasmussen poll 65% of the American people said that the purpose of the 2nd Amendment is to protect the people from the power of a tyrannical government.
  • The 2nd Amendment was not written to protect sporting firearms.
  • There are 80-90,000 active duty police on the NRA roles. Most cops support what the NRA is trying to do.
  • Obama supports citizens of other countries to rise up against tyrannical governments but not the rights of his own citizens to rise up against even criminals.
  • This is an ugly struggle, but we are all relying on the common sense of the American people.
  • Anti-gunners don’t want to blame individuals for crime. Consequently they blame the gun. For this reason they have virtually refused to prosecute firearms crime.
  • In Chicago, the murder capitol of the United States. They are rated 89 out of 90 in federal gun prosecutions.
  • Instead of prosecuting the criminal under existing gun statutes on which they could face a separate prosecution for the gun, in Chicago the politicians have instead created a killing field.
  • Contact your legislators now. Tell them that we will support them if they support us, otherwise we will unseat them.
  • Non-NRA members have to step up now. 4 million of us NRA members represent 90 million gun owners and the rest of you have to act now.
  • Democrat congress members in gun friendly states are under enormous pressure right now. We have to contact them and tell them we will stand up for them.
  • There are going to be votes, on this legislation and on funding the executive orders. We will be watching to see who stands up for us, and we will support you.
  • Bow hunters and fishermen boycotted the 1.2 million people strong Harrisburg show. It wasn’t just gun owners, it was everyone who shut down that show.
  • Gun ownership saves lives every day. As many as 2 million times per year a gun thwarts a crime, including over a dozen mass killings a year. Usually the gun doesn’t even have have to fire.
  • Mass killers are not looking for a battle. They are looking for an easy kill, and private firearms can stop them.
  • The NRA used to not endorse candidates. The political side of NRA was started by John Dingle, a partisan Democrat, who asked them to step up and stop the destruction of the 2nd Amendment.
  • Gun ownership represents individual responsibility and American values.
  • A monopoly of power in the hands of government is for elites, who always have protection. That we need protection is foreign to them.
  • Women lead the growth in firearm ownership because guns empower people.
  • Bloomberg allowed chaos to reign during the Sandy disaster rather than let retired police officers and the National Guard guard the people and protect children.
  • The Obama administration is attempting to increase the prohibited list of who cannot own a firearm.
  • The issue of “mental health” isn’t so clear cut. President Clinton tried to prevent 67,000 veterans from ownig firearms because they had sought counseling at some time.
  • The federal government is attempting to ban anyone who has gotten a medical marijuana prescription from owning a firearm. They did this to 27,000 medical marijuana users in Montana.
  • The goal of “closing the gun show loophole” isn’t to do background checks. It is to shut down gun shows.
  • All of these things are to drive out the marginal shooter. Hardcore shooters will put up with the nonsense.
  • The goal is “sit on the couch and I’ll put on a video game.” Reducing the overall “critical mass” of people who are familiar with firearms and the 2nd Amendment marginalizes the 2nd Amendment down the road.
  • In other countries, including the European countries, there already aren’t enough people who care about guns, and even hunting, to have a voice in the laws. Hunting is a rich man’s sport in foreign countries, as is personal self defense.
  • The NRA supports background checks, but the system is horribly broken, and the effectiveness of the system is being misrepresented by President Obama.
  • On a yearly basis, a couple years ago 77,000 people were denied a firearm by failing a background check. Of these 40 were prosecuted and 13 convicted of lying on the form. Meanwhile tens of thousands of people were denied a firearm who could legally own one.
  • Harry Reid is a typical democrat from a gun friendly state. The NRA donated $5,000 to his primary, not his national election.
  • When President Obama came to office 65 democrats signed a letter telling him that they would abandon him if he brought anti-2nd Amendment legislation to the Congress.
  • The NRA stands behind politicians who stand behind gun rights.

I agree that we are living in history making times. Our rights are being kicked around by people who feel self entitled to to dictate everyone else’s way of life. Mr Bloomberg is a fine example. He has enacted legislation in NY that restricts the size of a soft drink and other foods that he personally doesn’t like. He is also a prominent figure in the media and this helps to explain why the media, as an industry, who is headed up by like minded individuals is so anti Second Amendment. The Media uses the Freedom of the First Amendment to attack the Second Amendment and it would be interesting to see their reaction to Proposed Legislation that would Restrict them from using any language that attacks the Second Amendment. I am not in favor of Censorship, but the media uses Censorship regularly, remember it’s not only what you hear but what you don”t hear, to manipulate the public, and it has already been ruled that the First Amendment does not allow a person to yell fire in a crowded building. Because of this, I believe that the First Amendment should not allow language of any kind that Attacks Any Other Portion Of The Constitution. Remember, the Constitution belongs to us all and the role of Government is to Uphold the Constitution, not cut and paste it to suit whatever self serving needs it has, or of those who pull their strings! After all, any person that feels that they can Dictate to another person what type of food they can be allowed to eat, as Mr Bloomberg does, does not have any respect for an individual’s rights or their freedom of choice. also I believe it was Mr Bloomberg who decided to hire people to travel to surrounding States, purchase firearms legally from Licensed Firearms Dealers, pass background checks, fill out the Federal 4473 correctly, take possession of these firearms, then return to NY and Illegally transfer these legally purchased firearms to other individuals, which constitutes a straw purchase, and then send letters to all of these dealers threatening to sue them unless they signed an agreement with allowing him to take control of their businesses! This would make Mr Bloomberg guilty of Conspiracy to Commit multiple Straw Purchases, making Multiple Straw Purchases, Illegally Transferring multiple Firearms, Harassment of the dealers who Legally Sold these Firearms, as the Federal 4473 Forms were correctly filled out and Background Checks were passed, which means the Dealers had Properly done everything on their end. My question is why has Mr Bloomberg, and the others involved in this Crime, not been Prosecuted?? As far as violence in America, who is responsible for portraying examples of senseless graphic violence and what Constitutional Right do they say gives them the right to do so? Again the Media who so Irresponsibly abuses the First Amendment blames all who enjoy the Second Amendment responsibly. As far as addressing the problem of violence now. Security is the most likely answer. Security in Schools,at large public gatherings and the like. Take Israel for example. Why don’t they have a gun violence problem where most people own fully automatic firearms, you don’t hear any anti firearm ownership BS here, and they are surrounded by enemies on all sides that would like nothing better than to shoot up a school or other large public gathering? The answer is security at the public level.

I have written many story reviews on the Washington Post, and I was censored, buy them, for a comment I left about former congresswoman, Gabrielle Giffords, about a week ago. She was to speak about gun violence, and give an anti-gun speech, but not answer any questions according to the article. I made it plain, in my review, that Giffords was being used for a “pity” vote, since the anti-gun lobby, or the Brady bunch, no longer had Brady to use as a poster boy. The Washington Post deleted the post within ten minutes, but not before it made a commotion with the anti-gunners. Then, I enjoyed spreading the truth about past bills that would have been up for a vote, and talked about the wording of them, which was eventually taken out, since it was anti-gun. The wording that was taken out, was from people like Nancy Pelosi, etc. Essentially, if the anti-gun crowd’s addition to the bill had been left, we would not have been able to hardly own any firearms, as most would not have qualified over the wording, especially semi-auto firearms of any kind.

Folks need to contact their congressmen/women over this, as I have in the past. Anytime there is a new bill with anti-gun wording, it is then that they need to be contacted, and explain why the wording is in error, and how you will vote in the next election according to their vote.

To who it may concern,

It is sad that gun violence is escalating. We have numerous laws against murder and violent crime. It is time that we enforse these laws. A slap on the hand about not having things are some silly trauma as a child should never stand in court. As a country we tend to be blamers and not accept responsibility, this is very sad. As a country we are very good at knee jerk reactions. As a country we need to put more thought into enforcing our currant law.
I am not a fan of the AR type rifles, however I do not want to see the rights of people that choose one, taken away. The currant rant is about assault type weapons. Life has taught me that we need definaition in everything. I fly a lot every week. an assault weapon can be a ink pen that could be used to stab ( On aircraft )
This sounds ludicrous, but possible. Again as a coutry we need to enforce the law that we have, not knee jerk reaction.
I saw the picture of Mr. Obama shooting skeep supposedly. I looked at his posture and the angle of the shotgun. This looks very staged to me. He seemed very tence, this was not a fluid movement of shooting a flying skeet.
We need to look at world history. Everything changes, but nothing changes is very accurate. The names and types of weapons used have changed, but the thoughts have not.
Look at europe. Hitler, Stalin, and Mussolini commited mass murder under the guise of protecting the people. As a native Virginian, I remember what Tomas Jefferson said. Fear the Goverment that fears the people. We need to remember this well.
Teddy Roosevelt was agruably one of the best presidents that we had. He did not have patiance for the antics of the horrible things that were commited. He went to the root of the problem. As a coutry we need to do this again. Again we need to enforce the laws that we have and not have knee jerk reactions to horrible and avoidable situations.

Regards,

A Native and Voting Virginian

Those ar type rifels I was against and wondered why anyone would want one. Then it dawned on me why. For protection from our own gov. I still don’t have one, but I don’t bad mouth those that do anymore. Their rights.

There are already many gun laws on the books. Unfortunately, they don’t have teeth. If they did and people saw the consequences, maybe guns ownership would be more respected and enjoyed.

Dear Sir,
The President as well as other politicians that are against guns with the exception of hunting only style firearms, or antiques, are simply using violent and traumatic killings to implement their agenda. I would take that one step further and state that the president himself desires a completely unarmed America. He says that he won’t take away our hunting rifles, or even our side arms, but it is only political reterick, the same used by other leaders that wanted only their tyrannical forces to be armed so the they could do whatever they pleased without resistance, as you say for the purpose of protecting. My heart breaks every time he speaks, because it is pure deception, and I fear that many are blind to the truth, just as Germany was blind to Adolf Hitler!

I forget sometimes that we all, you and me, want to be remembered for somthing. No politicians and I hope no one at all wakes up in the morning and says “Today I want to not stand for somthing, and be forgotten”. We are Americans which means we are a proud people. If a man grows up fearing guns, like his father then regardless of how many people tell him he is wrong, he will stand for what he believes in I hope. Likewise the man that knows guns and wants to raise his son to follow in his footsteps.

YOU MUST REMEMBER THIS. No amount of legislation would have prevented sandy hook. The gun used was the “AR-15″ but it could have easiliy been the pistols, shotgun or a homemade explosive and the killing of innocent children would have still happened. You had a twisted mind who was motivated to hurt little angel like children, no law, would have prevented that NONE because he would have broken the law to perform the crime, even if it was cleverly written. But 1 good person with a gun, man or woman, regardless of the type of gun would have stopped that demon from extingushing the beautiful lights of those blameless children. We americans enjoy our freedoms and our guns provide us a way of eliminating the “Big Bad Wolf” if he comes to your house to hurt you or your children.
I want people to not be armed who dont want to be, they know somthing about themselves that we dont and for them they have a comfort net that helps them feel safe whatever that maybe. But those of us who feel like protecting thier dearest possessions using a gun and dont have the luxuries such as alarm systems or bodyguards should be allowed to do it as well. If we allow the chipping away of the foundation of our freedoms by attempting to modify a 2nd amendment to prevent capability then freedom will be lost, which will most likely lead to some bloodshed to secure that freedom once it is lost.

Correction, the AR-15 he murdered his mother to get was left in the car. He used pistols. Of course, if someone in that school had been armed, the outcome would likely have been much different.

And what would have been different? Kids would have been ducking bullets from both sides? I came to this site looking for my next gun. I currently own 11 including rifles, shotguns, pistols, and revolvers. I happened on this by accident.
You say that it would have been different, but the fact is that you don’t have a clue.
Here’s something for all of you to think about: You like to say that “guns don’t kill people, people kill people” and I agree with that. But if you really mean that, what possible reason could you have for objecting to a law that keeps guns out of the hands of someone who shouldn’t have them?
Right now, the biggest obstacle to requiring registration of mental incompetents is the fact that it is considered an illness – just like diabetes – and information about that illness is privileged information between the doctor, the patient, and anyone that the patient chooses to share it with. We need to overcome that hurdle.
First point: we need legitimate means to register gun owners to limit the liklihood of a repeat.
Second point: we need to make it so that medical conditions MUST be disclosed if they have a bearing on the applicant being a responsible and safe gun owner.
You do that by having a legitimate background check and a part of that check is a release authorization signed by the applicant listing the doctors from whom this person has gotten treatment. If any of the doctors says this patient is not to be trusted with the gun, then that stops the process. However, the applicant MUST have the right to appeal.
We also need a central database of people who doctors have deemed to be unfit for ownership of a gun. That database is NOT TO BE USED FOR ANYTHING but determining fitness to own a gun. For crying out loud, if you’re diabetic, you can’t be a pilot. Why should this be different?
Every sale must be accompanied by records substantiating the fitness of a person to own a gun.
Sure, you have the incident in Connecticutt where the guy didn’t own the guns – his mother did. You can cover that by the same law. If the person named in this database lives in a home with guns, then the guns must be removed from the home.
Sorry, but if you really believe that guns don’t kill people, people kill people, then you need to limit the people owning a gun. If you don’t agree, then stop saying it.
Now, I’ve got to keep looking for my next gun.
Have a good one.

I agree 100%! But do my hunting with a rifle ,and I like to have fun target shooting with my AR-15 and AK-47 which is my preference. I will not give up my 2ND amendment right to those that think they can protect me and my family from ALL foreign and domestic enemies. Only we as people can protect ourselves and families at our homes from these enemies in real time not the police or government as it only takes moments for something bad to happen very fast. Without the ability to possess a firearm I do believe if a bad situation was to occur I wouldn’t be able to protect myself or my family. Our fore-fathers encountered this on a greater scale then us and knew how important this basic principle/right would be that is why it is in “THE BILL OF RIGHTS” so in their good names PROTECT IT AT ALL COST for our children and their children and so on.

I support our second amendment. Hope for the best, plan for the worst is the military axiom I live by (which is why I own an M1A). That having been said, no one is proposing “taking our guns away.” This is just alarmist and makes upstanding firearms owners like myself look bad. There have been very real degradations of our civil liberties in the past decade that will affect us all much more than this gun issue. Has anyone read the Patriot Act? The government can wiretap our phones, kill us with no explanation and / or hold a US citizen with no charge or day in court. That is the current landscape – this is happening. And we’re arguing about something that’s not even being proposed (taking away our guns). The government can put you in jail today with no explanation needed legally. That scares the shit out of me. In so much as, most people I know who are in a governmental role don’t exactly inspire confidence in me, I don’t want this group having that kind of power. Does anyone on this board know a cop who doesn’t regularly take advantage of their position in society (by, at the very least, drinking and driving with no worries of consequence)? I don’t.

Yes it was spoken of, that this was an issue, but even more so I heard more than the gun issue, was that people are tired of getting pushed around by the Federal Government . Things said like “they don’t own us” and will see what happen in the election coming up. More and more do I hear even in stores people are talking about the abuses and the taking away of are rights and the right to purchase a 32 oz drink. I am a 66 yr. old life time hunter, trap shooter, and all around outdoorsman. I was seven yrs. old when I first smelled the perfumed aroma of a fresh shot Federal Paper and from that time on I was hooked on shooting. My Father instructed me on the safe usage of the long guns and instilled the respect necessary to maintain a safe aura while in a club environment. I have never owned a hand gun and I have never owned an “Assault Rifle” that I have known of. But, with my background as a club clay target instructor, shooter (trap, skeet, sporting clays, five stand and target shooting and hunting with .22′s and deer rifles),and life long hunter (since I was nine years old) I have to take a stand to support the NRA in it’s fight against the tyrannical wants of the attacker’s on our Second Amendment. These people who want our guns taken from our midst have an agenda that is not only relevant to crime but one that parallels the methods used by the tyrant’s from our World’s history. In the last ten years the price of shooting has gone up to such an extent that the family man can no longer take his wife and kids to the club on Sunday to shoot a round of clays. The price of gas has become a major expense to the traveling shooter who wants to participate in the ATA,NSSA or the NSCA tournaments around the nation. If you take a look you’ll see that these shoots have been dropping in attendance steadily for the last few years because of this added cost. This along with the brain washing our schools and media are doing to our grand kids and our your people. And the millions of dollars that are spent by the non-firearm related groups such as the vegans of the Humane Society of the United states and the Humane Society of America, Mayor Bloomberg and all others who support the anti’s that want our guns WE MUST UNITE. The gun owners and sympathizers of the Second Amendment must back our politicians who are for and stand behind our Constitution and It’s Second Amendment. I have not belonged to the NRA for a few years now because of personal problems I had with the trend they were showing, but I can no longer let a personal issue stand in the way of my helping to fight the anti’s and their attempts to corrupt our government and Country. I have been writing and emailing my Senators and Representatives and today I’m mailing in my dues to the NRA, WE MUST SUPPORT THEM.

My answer to all this….the government wants to take our rights away. I say americans should take the government away. What the hell. We are all screwed anyway. America, you really think your vote counted when you voted for whoever for President. Hell it did. The government wants you to believe it does. They picked the dumb ass way before you voted. I love America for what it stands for. I dont like nor love the assholes who think they are going to change it.

An underlying benefit of this gun control madness is that we are all finally understanding the true meaning of the 2nd Amendment. Which means that when one of those disgusting condescending intelligence insulting politicians says “we’re not trying to take away your hunting and sporting rights…”, they should immediately be slapped back with “No? but you certainly are trying to take our inalienable Constitutional rights, and for that, you should be hanged for treason”

The 2nd Amendment is the only part of the Constitution that has the specific, inarguable, not to be disputed, phrase, ‘SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED”. Period. Sorry, Mrs. FrankenFeinstein, but this means you can’t ban or control our firearms. For ANY REASON. So why is there even a “debate”? As pointed out in the above article The Fascist extreme progressive left have despicably exploited a sad tragedy and twisted a non issue into a means of guilt tripping the ignorant masses for their agenda based conspiracy and causing even the rest of the reasonable gun owners to make excuses and explanations as to why we ‘need’ certain firearms and magazines. Besides the fact that it’s none of anyone’s business, especially the government’s, to decide what we need personally, as individual citizens in the privacy of our own property, they now have us on the defensive! No politician in the employ of the people should tell us what we need. We tell them what we want and what they should do. Which is basically to uphold Justice and our Constitution.

So the Fascists deceitfully marginalized the only real issue at stake. Not safety at schools, but the liberty to have sovereign ‘ownership’ of firearms among your other rights to property. The ‘right to bear arms’. What unfortunate incidents which sometimes happen when mechanical tools are misused and abused, cannot, by law, alter the premise. If you take your high powered super fast blasting crotch rocket motorcycle and recklessly tear through a schoolyard crashing through dozens of children, you don’t ‘ban’ the motorcycle. It is your right to own one. You punish the offender and abuser of the tool who violated normal civilized existence. This is the common sense factor of a reasonable society. And it was already set up like this by the Framers. This country was founded on nothing else but Liberty and justice for all. And one of those liberties, now turning out to be the most important of all, is the one that “SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED”.

So Why is the Obama regime and their minions so obsessively compelled to break the law and violate our rights?
It can’t be to prevent the blown way out of proportion re-occurrance potential of such relatively rare shooting incidents at schools? But in the spirit of always striving to protect out children to the best of our capabilities, that problem was solved in the first round of these ‘gun control debates’ . Simply get rid of all those quarter million dollar parasite dole outs for Karnen Blue butterfly preservation, among others, and shift the funds to provide armed security for schools. You do it for banksters and corporatists and even warehouses (Homeland security patrols the Chicago O’hare airport parking lots with weapons AND high capacity Rottweillers!) Additionally striving to head off aberrant behavioral psychology problems would also help solve the problem.

So why the ‘debate’ and why are “we, the People” even validating their attempts at new legislation to once again illegally violate our rights? What’s terribly wrong with this picture? More horribly wrong than even the Sandi Hook tragedy?

The Tragedy that will hurt more of our Children in the Future than any unfortunate psychotic with a firearm could ever do…

The Rise of Tyranny in America.

It’s an immutable situation that has been with us since societies formed in the context of flawed humanity. Balancing power ultimately became the prime ingredient in a cohesive society. Otherwise, invariably, all power shifted to the power elite based despotism. And the general populations were vanquished. Conflict followed. Tyrannies expanded, and cultures were destroyed. The Founding visionaries knew this and realized that the threat of force and counter-force would have to be factored in to even manage an attempt at egalitarian function. Their main balancing tool was to always protect WITHOUT EXCEPTION-as in ‘Shall not be infringed’–The common average person so that as a whole, they could not be taken advantage of, dominated, and subjugated by out of control power elite.

Recently an Hispanic Senator from California introduced a bill to allow third Presidential terms. Is everyone starting to get this yet?

Because the country is so politically divided, So much so that a number of States are considering leaving the Union, the Obama Regime will meet much future resistance in his socialist agenda. It will come from large segments of populations, particularly in some Southern States, like Tennessee where many local law enforcement will support the people of their state’s desire to simply ignore federal transgressions.

While hesitating to use the term, this is the type of dynamic that eventually brought about the Civil War. Lincoln wanted to impose his will on the entire country. Freeing the slaves was incidental to the main issue of tyrannical control. Yes, shocking as that may sound to all of you so enamored of Lincoln, the reality was quite different if you really study the true history. Remember, he suspended Habeous Corpus rights, like Obama is doing with his drone killings. And he even threatened to imprison judges who disagreed with him by ‘executive order’. Lincoln, like Obama, was an agenda based special interest manipulator, and was not above pitting fellow Americans against each other and causing the deaths of hundreds of thousands of countrymen. When moron gun control activists or politicians state that the true reason for the 2nd amendment is obsolete. Since Tyranny is unlikely in Modern America, all you need to say to shut them up is “open your eyes”!

The Obama regime needs the general cooperation or at least acquiescence of the country for his New World Order scheme to play out. He needs all the ducks, or rather ‘sheeple’ in a row’ to establish an irreversible progressive socialist State, and set himself up as the most powerful world leader in history. Civil/factional disobedience would slow him down. The passive sheeple are controlled by entitlements. The more self-reliant who appreciate Liberty and freedom of choice, will resist nascent tyranny. And with even a minimum level effective tool like a semi auto AR with high cap mags, these Americans, in significant organized territorial groups, will not be easily suppressed into submission.

So any prudent emerging dictatorship would prefer not to let it get that far and first try to simply ‘legislate’ this ability to significantly resist out of existence, and then the transition to absolute control over the masses would be facilitated. As Hitler and others did. (See a good u-tube video, ‘The History of Gun Control”)

So THAT’s the only real reason why the Obama regime wants to ban AR’s and magazines and then all other guns for a false flag excuse. Their current insultingly transparent ploy to overload a draconian gun ban is only to ‘bargain’ and create a specious mode of ‘debate’ and then negotiation, and then they get what they really want, An acceptable ‘compromise of …UNIVERSAL GUN REGISTRATION. First referred to as ‘universal background checks’. Ann Coulter explained the invariable imminent danger of background checks. in a recent article. Then they can slippery slope the process to easily create what they really want, a ‘universal data base’, and then, you find out the real reason for all the excessive arming of the alphabet agencies. Not to quell inflationary food riots. But to eventually have mass coordinated gun confiscations when deemed necessary by ‘executive order’.

It’s actually amazing, when you think about it, how they did he Houdini move on us all these years to begin with, with all these illegal gun control ‘laws’. Too many people forget that there never were any background checks to buy anything that fired or exploded prior to the NFA and certainly the military never performed background checks to fight in wars. What ever happened to “…no lists or data bases on any gun owner”?! Universal background checks serve absolutely no purpose other than to provide a data base. Especially if you factor in unrestricted instant DHS/NSA computer technology/access these days to everyone and everything.

The plan to subjugate the masses was in effect far longer than we realize. It has just reared it’s ugly head in a more brazen manner. However, in their self-revealing obsession, this might be they’re own final undoing. The armed American freeman is an icon ingrained in a historically based natural culture of firearms and warrior philosophies. Any attempt to usurp that ideology will invariably result in conflict, and potentially physical war.

So if it’s war, then so be it. But the tactic is not to haphazardly wave fruitless threats of bravado in the form of useless and dangerous violent revolutionary talk.

Why not not just stop all talk and start some action to really fight the tyranny at its roots. Like at recent major sporting firearms event which was boycotted by all vendors to the point of collapsing the entire event because the promoters wouldn’t allow any booths selling AR’s or AK’s. The promoters and hosting community lost considerable revenue because they sanctioned our freedoms. How about a couple better ones:

1. Cease the defensive posture and go on the attack. Begin to seriously question the ethics and legality of ANY gun control laws currently on the ‘books’. Wayne LaPierre was kind of a flip flopper over the years, supposedly even acquiesced to ‘closing the gunshow loophole’ at one point, ( which does far more slippery slope damage to private transaction liberties than we can imagine…also part of their ‘agenda’), but if he’s really serious about preserving our rights, take some dues money and get a patriot Senator to introduce a bill to “Abolish all anti second amendment illegal gun control laws” No exceptions. Put the fascists on the offensive for a change. Pass a law that NO executive orders shall ‘infringe’ on the 2nd Amendment! Fight fire with fire!

2. Organize a million man…, no, a FIVE million man ARMED peaceful Liberty march on Washington next 4th of July with everybody calmly slinging a personal 2nd Amendment firearm, preferably an AR, to show our Constitutional Solidarity. Make it a huge event. Invite Freedom fighters like Judge Napolitano, and Ann, and others to speak, Get Patriot performers like Ted Nugent and others to attend, and make it a huge event for the preservation of liberty and humanity on a day which should always impress upon future generation, the price, at which such precious value comes.

The presence of a vast peaceful, but determined and powerful civilian ‘Freedom Army’, should be more than enough for wannabe fascists to begin to consider… to forever perish the thought…

You know if bloomberg and bama jelly really cared about saving lives, they would divert their time, money, and effort to cancer research, and the fight against heart disease. 2/3rds of the US population WILL die from either a form of cancer or heart disease. Not even a fraction of a percentage will be effected by gun violence…..

Its obviously nothing more than a blatant power grab. There is no other explanation for their actions.

Remember those high taxes from the past? One of the ideas behind those high taxes was to keep people like Bloomberg from having so much money that they use it to make people do as they want. It may sound awful but some people can’t use immense wealth to do any thing good. America could use a repaired infrastructure. High speed rail would be nice. Education for all our young is a noble idea. How about health care for all? People like the Kochs and Bloomberg don’t deserve the money they use to promote their unwanted agenda. I have nothing against the wealthy but I do have something against wealthy that use their wealth to take my rights.

I did my part, and make sure you read what Senator Bill Nelson (Dem-FL) replied to my e-mail. Pass it to all your friends, family, and politicans!!!

Congressman Nugent,

I sent Senator Bill Nelson an e-mail regarding his gun control statement he made during his 1-24-13 address to the Senate, in which he believes the Second Amendment is for hunting and sporting. In my e-mail to Sen. Nelson I advised him that our Founding Fathers’ true meaning of the Second Amendment was intended for the people’s right to form a militia in order to secure a free state, the right to keep and bear arms to secure a free state, and THIS WILL NOT BE INFRINGED. The infringement statement means shall not take away the rights to keep and bear arms that will secure a free state. With all of the vacuous bills that the Senate and Congress has submitted in the past few weeks regarding gun banning and magazine capacities limits do in fact infringe upon the rights under the Second Amendment. What everyone is leaving out is the fact to secure a free state the arms that the people have the right to keep and bear must equal, as much as possible, to the infringing party’s arms. Simply put, we the people will not be able to secure a free state by using revolvers and bolt action rifles against fully automatic guns. This is the true meaning of the Second Amendment that our Founding Fathers’ meant, and any banning of a type of gun, in which now is not just limited to assault rifles or “Assault Weapon”, being a gun with a detachable magazine includes just about every semi-auto handgun, would greatly undermind the peoples’ rights and means to secure a free state.

The below inserted e-mail dated 2-1-13 is Sen Nelson’s reply, in which he states that the Second Amendment is for lawful self-denfense like one’s home, and that is the law of the land. PLEASE INFORM SEN. NELSON THAT THE SECOND AMENDMENT IS MORE THAN JUST SELF-DEFENSE, THAT IT DOES INCLUDE THE RIGHT TO SECURE A FREE STATE.

I also advised Sen Nelson to introduce a Bill to put Highly trained Law Enforcement Officers in our schools to protect our children, instead of bills that would infringe upon the U.S. Constitution.

I know that you understand our Founding Fathers’ meaning of the Second Amendment, and you will protect it. I do understand the concerns regarding all of the violence in this country, but the bills that have been submitted in the last few weeks will not stop any criminally or insane person from committing a violent act. Being in Law Enforcement myself, I can tell you from experience that the only way to stop a violent act is been at the scene and stopping the threat. But in the real world my fellow officers and myself are not able to be at every violent act scene at the time of the incident, therefore, the victim must defend himself by his means until law enforcement arrives on the scene. If every school had 2 to 4 police officers on site, then they can stop the violent threat in the fastest and safest means possible due to their highly trained skills. I understand this would cost money, but I’m sure that I’m not the only one who would be willing to pay a few pennies more in taxes to pay for the security and safety of our children while in a school setting.

Clearly Sen. Nelson did not feel the same way.

Please address your fellow Congressmen and Senators the facts of the Second Amendment and introduce a Bill that will protect our children without infringing upon the Constitution.

P.S. I did send this email statement/request to Senator Rubio also.

Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter,
Raymond Baldwin

Dear Mr. Baldwin:

Thank you for contacting me about protecting Second Amendment rights.

I grew up on a ranch and have been a hunter since I was a boy. I have had guns all my life. I support a person’s constitutional right to bear arms. I support the Second Amendment.

In 2008, the Supreme Court of the United States affirmed that the Second Amendment protects a person’s right to possess a firearm, unconnected to military service, and to use that firearm for traditional lawful purposes like self-defense within the home. This is the law of the land.

I appreciate hearing your views on this subject. Hearing from you helps me to better serve you in the Senate.

Sincerely,

Bill Nelson

This topic is as passionate for some as Religion and Politics is for others.
With that said my views expressed below are demographically more rural and then skewed due the fact that I served over 25 years in the Armed Forces and feel the same as many other veterans that the oath we took; “Protecting and Defending the Constitution of the United States”, not the President, not the Senate, not the House of Representatives but the Constitution (right or wrong) that allows the Citizens of this Nation to Flourish.
Understand that the Second amendment does nothing to allow me to HUNT it allows me to possess a Weapon to protect our Freedom from Tyranny and defend the Constitution and this Nation from Enemies (Foreign or DOMESTIC). So I ask myself as a Veteran, If necessary am I willing to commit myself to this end? And my answer to you is, Yes.
Any gun allows a weaker person to equalize a situation with a more power full force and also allows any person to commit more harm quicker. I challenge you as a citizen to really look at the FACTS not just statistics promulgated by Pro Gun and or Anti Gun Voices. Look at Sweden, look at Japan, look at non Democratic Nations and see their history of registration followed by confiscation, look at Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand who are western nations and see their crime rates. Review the FBI web site crime data statistics that are very objective, look at the Prison System Population where our social norms and budget agendas have turned from Institutional Mental Health System to where we are today since the 60’s and really ask yourself if the rhetoric of a few highly positioned politicians and special interest groups is really the conscious of America.
Are rural American values going to be dictated by larger metropolitan areas, are the values of Southern, Mid and Western States going to be dictated by a core of East Coast or Californian Politicians? I hope the next series of elections will reflect the values of the majority and that our solution to the challenges by our President, Congress along with State Government’s is proactive and long term vice the most recent “Knee Jerk” actions by some.
Remember that in politics “An Inch, Is A Mile”.

Looking back into history….go way back….realize that all cultures, all civilizations, all great countries eventually fall or become something other than what they were in their beginnings and infancies. This life cycle of a people usually lasts approximately 250 years on average. Look at where America is today. Look at the direction our country is heading right now. Then realize that it is our leaders who drive us off the cliff to failure. The failure analysis has already been performed in many failure cases….beginning back to the days of the great Roman Empire. The leaders take us in full circle from freedom and democracy to less free and finally a dictatorship…..one ruler for all. Don’t think for one moment that Obama doesn’t know this, don’t think for one moment that Obama isn’t directing this country into “fundamental” change that will eventually be the cause for our total failure as a free country. It all starts with too much structure or in other words it all starts with the erosion of our fore father’s original documented way of life established for us to live freely without fear of our governing body. Our freedoms are being eroded daily by Obama and his administration. We can only home that time runs quickly and eventually runs out for him during his last term. But before that happens we have to figure out how to get the vote, the real vote back to the people to rid our government of others who would subscribe to Obama’s ways…..go see 2016 Obama’s America and see where and why this guy is the way he is. Obama is absolutely wrong for our way of life. He is suffering from the only disease on earth that cannot be cured….he is a pathological liar to all, even himself which supports his arrogant, exaggerated self opinion that makes him think that he and only he can do no wrong…..that only his way can be considered. To him, your ways, your opinions, your thoughts, your freedoms do not count….not when he wants to rise to a dictatorship. Others have preceded him in other countries and look where those countries are today. The erosion and total elimination of the 2nd Amendment is only the surface…..the rest of that document will be rendered useless and meaningless along with our Constitution if Obama is not resisted in every way until he is gone.

Write our congressmen? Are you kidding? Even Senator Tom Coburn, a suppossed conservative, said he is willing to talk about legislation for more gun laws. He, among many others, have repeatedly voted against the Constitution and do NOT represent anyone but themselves. They are sellouts and self-serving traitors. Regardless of what laws they pass, if they are not in line with the Constitution then they are null and void. We absolutely need a revolution to forcefully remove these traitors from office and try them for treason, and once convicted, hang them one by one on television so all the world can see it. Obama is replacing high level military leaders who refuse to fire on Americans with those who will go along with his plans. We need leadership to take the fight to them instead of waiting until they bring it to us. Confiscation is what it is all about. They must be stopped.

Hello,
You could cause a slight bit of confusion when you referred to “no stopping private interstate transfers of firearms.”
The word interstate that you used in the article should have been intrastate.

Interstate means in your context, commerce across state lines.
And as you know private gun transfers across state lines is not now legal.
You should have said “no stopping private intrastate transfers of firearms.”

Some of the anti-gun people could use your statement as your trying to advocate the repeal of background checks for interstate transactions.
In these moments of panic by gun owners, we all should all try very hard to be accurate with all the facts.

thanks
Hank

I pretty sure private gun sales across state lines is legal as long as it is tranfered through an FFL. That is, the gun must be shipped to the FFL who will run a background check on the purchaser before the transfer is made.

To be fair, Obama always said he was for an assault weapon ban. Whatever that means…The bigger problem is Feinstein and her god-awful bill which is not even getting traction from Pat Leahy. Still, it is the only legislative vehicle that is there real threat at the moment. This mumbo-jumbo about Obama wanting to turn an army against us for what? To force us to have healthcare? Make us gay? Drop that paranoid delusion, this is about a clear reading of the 2nd Amendment and the right to bear arms against the THREAT of tyranny – not imagining tyranny for the right to bear arms. It’s simple: it should not be infringed. No need to make up any other agenda…you just sound crazy.

They’ve been planning their gun grab for a long time. The dual citizen Feinstein has been working in it for over a year, and Obama asked Eric Holder to start working on ways to get around the Second Amendment in 2011. And let’s not forget Holder’s statement “we’ve got to ‘brainwash’ Americans to turn against guns.”. They purchased 2,000 armoured vehicles andd 1.6 billion hollow point rounds for DHS. Make ni mistake about it, a fight is coming, and Americans must unite now before it’s too late!

The NRA need to take the offensive. Just defending leads to losing compromise. The NRA should get congressmen to introduce new bills that remove existing infringements.
1) End infringement on state’s rights; if a sale is not across state lines, then it is not interstate commerce.
2) End Mickey mouse rifle vs pistol rules, barrel lengths.
3) etc.

i don’t know much about guns. but i’ve been around long enough to observe our government representatives and how they give lip service to voters on both sides to get into office. once there, the power overcomes them. it’s the politician’s narcotic. if they can take away the citizens ability to protect themselves from tyranny, they will have total ontrol, ie total power over you. the 2nd amendment is the MOST IMPORTANT AMENDMENT of them all. without it, we all become serfs to people like bloomberg, who wants to tell you how to live. i’m red, white and blue through and through, but our representatives are making decisions that bring out the tea party in me. don’t take guns from good people and don’t limit or control or track them. i heard once that america will never be taken by a foreign country but from within. i can see that very clearly now.

The first was ratified by the states and authenticated by the secrtary of state of the United States Of America
Thomas Jefferson.
The second official version was passed by congress word for word they are the same however the congressional
contains on additonal comma. It is my belief that certain members congress feel that with the commas in the amendment thay can interject law.
The most important phrase in the amendment is the last, (SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED).
what does this mean?
It means that no one not even congress shall make laws or regulations that shall limit a law abbiding citizens rights.
Thus I feel all twenty thousands gun laws are unconsitutional.
In cluding the castle doctrine, for it places limits on the law abbiding citizens rights to self defennse.

Now I know they do get support from gun companys, But its not them the different reps. fear it is the AMERICAN people with the power. I know several gun owners who leave it up too people like me too make the differance at votiing time and that SUCKS, If those people think that they are safe from haviing thier guns taken just because they are not goiing after hunting weapons then they are FOOLS. I would like too see a honest too god effort come from every owner in every small town too big city set fourth a day too show salidarity for one the amendmants that started this country. can you imagine the faces of the politicians when they see the turn out that such a gathering of AMERICANS across this land would cause. The Second Amendment guarantees American citizens the right to bear arms. At the time it was written the arms that were available to the government and the military were the same ones. That should be the way it is today. The administration that wants to change that and register your arms is the same administration that must then be deposed for the tyrants they aspire to be. Those who are currently trying to take American citizens’ right to bear arms and register those arms so that they my confiscate them are the ones who aspire to enslave and deprive American citizens of their liberty, freedom and all their rights.

So what is an assault weapon? An AR-15 is getting a bad rap for being an assault gun. I have a 9 mm pistol and can empty a magazine and put a new clip in the gun faster than an AR-15. And whether it is 16 round clip or 30 round clip, one just uses more clips to make up the difference. There are several hunting rifles more powerful than an AR-15. And what about a shotgun? A 12 gauge Shotgun is about the most dangerous gun at close range. Not too many people are wounded by shotguns, it’s usually fatal. How about a 22 caliber rifle or pistol, they are just a small caliber gun, but the bullet travels at such a high velocity it can do more damage than most high powered guns. And all these guns are semi-automatic in firing.
Take any semi-automatic pistol, attach a longer barrel to it, attach a butt stock to it and what do you have? An AR-15 ASSAULT RIFLE. Therefore, all semi-automatic pistols should be called assault pistols. A Tec-9, Mac-10, and other pistols were used by drug dealers in the 1980s, and 1990s. The dealers would take the pistols which were 12 to 14 inches long, made them fully automatic and put up to 50 round clips on these guns. One could fire off 50 rounds in 6 seconds. And I am talking about pistols having this firepower. The only major difference between a semi – automatic pistol and an AR-15 is the distance of the bullet. An AR-15 can be accurate up to 200 – 500 yards since it has a longer barrel. A pistol is good for about 30 yards.
So if you ban the AR-15 today, tomorrow your semi- auto pistol will be banned. Because after the government get its way with the ban on the AR-15, they will come back and ban the semi-automatic pistols based on the above scenario. There is NO difference between the two types of guns.

Dear readers, have you ever heard of the idea of ” divide and conquer “. That is what the liberal government media is doing every day. I want to scream when I hear a gun owner or hunter give in a little and say well I believe in the second amendment, but I dont think anybody needs an AR-15. It has nothing to do with NEEDS, it has to do with RIGHTS. No one NEEDS a $100,000 mercedes benz. But it is their right to have one if they want one. That car does not do anything in transporting someone that a $13,000 Kia cant do. An AR-15 shoots 1 bullet at a pull of the trigger, just like EVERY other rifle whether it be a single shot or bolt action rifle or lever action rifle, or single action revolver or a semi-auto pistol. So what is the difference what kind of gun someone wants to leagelly own. Its is a choice. Just like buying the car you like is a choice. Do not let the media and government divide us on what we should or should not have in the choice of gun we prefer. Do you know how to eat an Elephant? One bite at a time. If you give in on any more gun law restrictions, you are letting the politicians take the first bite on eating the entire 2nd amendment in time. Once you start eating you cannot stop until the entire elephant will be devoured. Every gun owner needs to stand as ONE on this issue. There are 40 million estimated gun owners in this country. Why is there only 4.5 million members of the only major orgnaization that is powerful enough to protect YOUR gun rights? The NRA. If you want to keep your .22 cal. squirrel gun, I suggest you put your money where your mouth is and join the organization that has been keeping YOUR gun rights you enjoy right now. We members have been paying YOUR freedoms for over a 100 years now. 20 million NRA members would certainly be a much more powerful message to the politions trying to defeat the 2nd amendment. Don”t just sit there and say well the NRA will keep the freedom we have right now. There is more anti-gun support now in 2013 and they are gaining every day. EVERY GUN OWNER MUST JOIN THE NRA TODAY. Dont wait and say when we loose our freedoms one morning, I should have joined the pro-gun people. IT WILL BE TO LATE THEN. Wise up now, if you cant afford $35 per year to become a NRA member you dont deserve to have the freedom to own a gun. Freedom isnt FREE. Millions died to give you this freedom, you can certainly afford $35 per year to keep enjoying your freedom. Lets go, JOIN TODAY!!!!!!!

There is no such thing as an assualt weapon. Assualt is an act. A weapon is a device used to protect someone or to commit an assualt on someone. Guns are weapons. Assualt weapon is an improper term made up by the idiots that were elected by the people who are supposed to represent us. Why has no one called them on this ? I would blame the reason on public schools that do not teach the children anything but are only used to indoctrinate them to believe in communism and the worthless govt now in power in this once great country. In order to change the way things are presently, if even possible, the people are going to have to be stern and address the people who rare supposed to represent them and not back down.

Taking away our guns in this world is insane,if its not guns its knives and with out the fear that anyone and everyone might have the next big gun like an old lady or like this video I saw of a little girl that shot at two robbers with a gun she just learned about using just weeks before and her dad was an open about safe shooting being a police officer. Look it up its on YouTube, and without guns it leaves Americans open to attacks look at Mexico no guns but bad cops and cartels all over I lost my dad to a kidnapping down there and he couldn’t do anything to protect himself when the law doesn’t care another good example is when most of Europe lost there rights to carry guns and they were not compensated for the cost of the guns they were just taken I paid for all my guns in full so for someone to say they are going to take my guns from me I feel that’s looting and during war time I would consider that a terror act on my freedom;’) this is America and we will fight for what we believe in and just because un responsible gun owners don’t wanna lock up there gunsand leave them out for others to do as they please

Every American has the right to bare arms regardless of what others think of their mental status. If mental status is an issue you need to disarm every police officer and military person in this country. If their mental status was where they could not pull the trigger and ‘kill or shoot’ someone they would not be in those positions. To a mental professional, they are mentally derranged because they would kill another human. In fact, every psychologist and psychiatrist diagnose their patients with ‘illnesses’ so that they can collect from the insurance company. It does not mean the person is ill or hopeless, it is just a requirement for payment. Not one psychiatrist, psychologist on the face of this earth is without one of the same labels that can be placed on them, let alone the remainder of the population so face it, they are going to lable you something to prevent you from owning a weapon to defend this nation or yourself. Bloomberg is paranoid and is running with this flag of take everyone’s guns away because of this paranoia. They have a ‘fear’. Well, taxpayers, we need to all stop paying taxes since this is what pays the president and the other persons behind this conspiracy. We should have the democratic right to vote on ANY issue, not these issues decided by ‘representitives’. All these people in office were put there to represent us. That just is not the case anymore and we should FIRE them. If everyone would refuse to pay taxes that rebellion in office would be resolved, money talks.

Not all my daughters like guns as much as I do, but they all like going to the range with dad. All three of my son in-laws also like going to the range with me. Maybe because I pay for the ammo and we all have fun. The bottom line, they know how to protect themselves and are glad they have the knowlelge.

I live in a very rural area of Western Colorado, although we have an excellent Sheriff’s Department, we also have a land mass just under three times the size of Rhode Island. Sheriff response time ranges from 10 minutes to one hour depending upon where the Deputies are patroling. All ranchers I know have loaded shotguns and/or rifles close by in their homes and vehicles, we all know the rules, I cannot even think of the last time we had gun related violence in this part of the county. The ranchers and general public up here know the rules, know the existence of self defense, and greatly respect our Sheriff Department. We do not need a bunch of Sububia Bound Ivy League politically hampered Lawyers dictating the second amendment rules for us. My home area is not Chicago or New York city that appears to live by someone else dictating how they live. The right to bear arms has much to do with controlling the government from becoming a dictatorship.

“Gun control” is illegal and illegitimate.

When the Bill of Rights was submitted to the individual States for
ratification, it was prefaced with a preamble [http://billofrights.org/]. As stated in the preamble, the purpose of the Amendments was to prevent the federal government from “misconstruing or abusing its powers.” To accomplish this, “further declaratory and restrictive clauses”were being recommended. The Amendments, when adopted, did not create any so-called constitutional rights or grant the federal government any power over individual rights; they placed additional restraints and qualifications on the powers of the federal government concerning the rights enumerated in the Amendments.

If the Second Amendment is read through the preamble, we find it was incorporated into the Bill of Rights as a “declaratory and restrictive clause” to prevent the federal government from “misconstruing or abusing its power” to infringe on the people’s right to keep and bear arms.

The federal government claims it was granted the constitutional
authority to determine the extent of the individual rights enumerated in the Amendments and/or impose “reasonable restraints” on those rights.

This assertion is absurd.

The federal government does not have the constitutional authority to ignore, circumvent, modify, negate or remove constitutional restraints placed on its power by the Amendments or convert them into a power over the individual right enumerated in the particular restraint.

A denial of power or an enumerated restraint on the exercise of power is not subject to interpretation or modification by the entity the restraint is being imposed upon. The restraints imposed by the
Amendments, which were adopted 4 years after the Constitution was ratified, override the legislative, executive, judicial or
administrative powers of the federal government. If this were not the case, then the restraints would be meaningless because the federal government could simply circumvent, modify or remove them. Why would the States have requested and adopted enumerated restraints on federal power, subsequent to their ratification of the Constitution, if the federal government possessed the authority to nullify them?

Answer- it doesn’t.

The federal government derives no legitimate authority and has no power vested in it by the Constitution to regulate private arms- and is CLEARLY given the RESTRICTION that it SHALL NOT INFRINGE on the right of the people to keep and bear arms in the Bill of Rights.

Opponents of the Second Amendment always try to diminish the right enumerated in the Amendment by asserting that rights are not absolute. This is just another straw man argument because the Amendment is about imposing a restraint of the powers of the federal government concerning a right: not granting a right or defining the extent of a right.

I just want to say enough is enough already. The second amendment and ALL the amendments should not and MUST
not be abridged. Any change or interpolation of anyone of them should be voted on by a majority vote of legally
registered Americans in every state in our union. This would put a stop to the arguments we face every time a terrible tragedy happen’s in our country. Plane and simple this take’s the amendment’s out of the hand’s of a minority rule in Washington. And let’s our so called Representative’s we elect get down to the real reason we voted for them. Regarding Dennis comment, frankly, there were many things wrong with the Connecticut incident as presented to us. More than one gunman etc. I don’t know who was celebrating what with that, or what parties perpetrated that, (if indeed it happened at all, since there was no video, and nothing but closed caskets) but it’s obvious that we are being lied to.

As far as mental illness, yes it’s perhaps a problem. But giving the government, who already is fat with federal overreach, the power to decide whether you are mentally ‘incompetent’ is too much. Have you ever heard of the Wannsee Protocol, Germany 1942? Maybe you should look it up Dennis. Many more people die in hospitals or auto accidents than with guns. AND the gun incidents are being heavily politicized. I wonder why that is?

If it’s safety your concerned about, why aren’t criminals being targeted, instead of us? No Dennis, if you’re a criminal you are doing fine. It’s the honest citizens who are under attack. And it has nothing to do with keeping the country safe.

A certain North European country earler know for its liberal gun laws some time ago imposed a five years licensening for all kinds of guns, even for collecting antiques as long as being cartridge weapons and new-mfg cap and balls. Earlier you would have your license valid throughout your lifetime if a law abiding citizen. Succeeding in getting renewal of the licence now for a specific gun is on a regular basis not very likely. Most attempts are promptly denied. This is a clever but appalling way of diminishing legal gun ownership in that country. Gun business went belly up in short time. Most trades are now done between dealers alone. Millions of still legal guns privately owned cannot any longer be transfered but to dealers for no money at all, because they are now impossible to resell or inherit. Will this affect criminal ownership and misuse? Not the least, just increase the criminals’ odds in the society. Not even media likes it any more. See what has happened in the UK and in Autralia. Did that lower criminality? Instead it increased it many times over! So, fellow Americans, beware of a sneaking gun ban. A universal gun ban in the US at this moment seems not possible, therefore a little step at a time is the gun confiscaters’ recipie. Hence, BEWARE OF THE SNEAKING GUN CONFISCATING eating up the 2nd amendment bit by bit till it’s all gone. REACT

Isn’t it strange how Americans regard their government? They notice only those government actions that are sensationalized or that affect them in some very obvious, odious or onerous manner. They take little interest in and offer no support for people who voice opposition to government when they don’t themselves realize the injustice.

The same people who are now worried about their right to gun ownership are probably the same people who wanted to shoot the Occupy Wall Street protesters. They probably feel very good about the passage of the Patriot Act. They think Julian Assange of Wikileaks should be jailed or executed because he told the truth and embarassed our government. The first amendment is apparently nowhere nearly as important as the second or the fourth.

The NRA, itself, was asleep at the wheel when the anti-gun people started complaining about “Saturday night specials”. Maybe thhose cheap guns were tooeasily obtained by criminals, but anti-gunners should not have been allowed to ban them because they ‘were not military weapons’. Any weapon including a club can be a military weapon. I carried a 12 gauge shotgun in the army at times. The NRA failed to address the change in opinion that the anti-gunners now express, that certain guns like “assault rifles” should be banned because they are military weapons. They can’t have it both ways. The fact of the matter is that the Second Amendment intended us to have military weapons suitable for defense against an army of a tyrannical power. Muskets would not suffice against M-16′s and helicopter gunships.

They are proud to yell that they live in the greatest country in the world because they have the right to vote for the people who cause the wars, loss of jobs, recessions, and economic injustice and that keep the ultra-rich firmly in control of our government. They will always cherish their right to vote for their oppressors.

They don’t seem to care that the freedom of speech, the freedom of the press, the right to assemble have all been infringed upon. They feel secure in the fact that after their guns are taken away, they will have the right to vote against the politicians who were responsible. It is that narrow mindedness and self-interest that polarizes Americans and makes the right to vote the least valuable of all their rights. It’s what keeps the ruling class, the 1%, in power.

The argument about whether the Second Amendment pertains to the rights of individuals (which it does) or to the states is now merely an academic one. If Americans haven’t used their right to keep and bear arms for the intended purpose of the Second Amendment by now, they never will. Neither would shotguns and rifles be an effective deterrent against the firepower of the all volunteer military forces of the U.S. of America.

Arm yourself to the teeth. Don’t let them leave your families & your freedoms defenseless like they want us to be. Switch places, where THEY become the underprivileged class of people that have inferior protection. I worry more about protecting myself from a broke & desperate government that gives thousands of weapons to violent drug cartels and arms the Muslim Brotherhood with F 16s & hundreds of tanks while gutting our own military, than I do from criminals. They are clearly out of their minds. A criminal I can fight off with basic arms, but a desperate tyrannical gov is a whole different animal. In my humble opinion, ours clearly cannot to be trusted. Look what they’ve been doing. The fact that they are stepping on the 2nd Amendment is proof of that. As a people we must be empowered, not weakened. Arm yourself, protect your freedoms, family, fellow Americans & our Constitutional rights. Individuals, businesses & all Americans must stand up tall and united, that they stand down and leave us free. We are only as free as the rights we successfully hold & defend. Now they want to tell you what guns you can & can’t use, while they themselves have plurally proven that they cannot be trusted with weapons or to keep them out of the hands of wrong doers. Meanwhile, King Bloomberg has decreed what size sodas people can drink and what kind of cups they can and can’t use. Next you must use inferior toilet paper, because they want all their BS to stick on you. Don’t let them! Live free. It is your duty as an American to do so. Bravo to Olympic Firearms, La Rue Tactical & Cheaper Than Dirt by boycotting sales to NYS gov agencies. Great start for standing together as free & united Americans.

I think we’ve all had a good venting and perhaps some helpful suggestions but the problem remains on how to keep our guns and by extension our individual liberty.

While the obvious political tools — writing your Reps and sending money to NRA etc. — have their uses, the power-grabbers will always have the evening news (and the op-ed pages) to highlight the next massacre and through it shame us into silence.

We know the power-grabbers have an ultimate agenda, but so long as it remains unproven, stating such makes us look like Ted Kaczynski.

Getting our hands on Bloomberg’s “Pentagon Papers” would be the Holy Grail, but maybe only a damning email or two from someone farther down the food chain might have just as much effect.

To that end, if you know anyone who might be able to infiltrate a power-grabbing org, suggest that they try. I’d do it myself, but I have too obvious a political profile, and I’m not really a good liar, so playing the “change of heart” card probably won’t work.

I’d suggest someone who is sympathetic but not necessarily outspoken — they should be able to pass a Google search.

Lest you think infiltration (and lying about oneself) is a sin, remember the Commandment says, “Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.” That is defamation / slander / libel, not lying.

Deception is the basis of warfare, which is what we are doing, whether we realize it or not.

The real evil subverting America is not obama, not biden, not pelosi, not reid, not feinstein, not schumer, not cuomo, not bloomberg, nor is it any other untrustworthy, two-faced, holier-than-thou corrupt politician. It’s the progressive movement taking advantage of our own shortcomings as an American populace. WE, collectively as a nation of voters, are morally corrupt. WE are the ones who vote these evil transgressors into office, where they remain for decades undoing the fabric of American society; a fabric tattered by an evil progressive agenda.
