Accepted Payment Methods: Returns: 3 Days Description: Springfield Armory 1898 Carbine 30-40 Krag parts gun assembled from used and new parts. The carbine length barrel and receiver appear to be armory left over parts, the barrel was in unfired condition with no extractor slot cut until installed on this receiver. There is a date of "4-42" engraved or possibly stamped on the barrel near the muzzle, which most likely is the manufacture date. The front sight is new, soldered on, and the barrel has been polished and blued, but some armory storage pits are still visible on the outside. The bore and chamber is excellent with no defects noted. All remaining metal parts are used, purchased on-line, and refinished where necessary. All wood is of new manufacture and fitted properly. The rifle was test fired for proper function. This rifle is a very good representative of the model that can also be used for hunting. More photos available on request.
