New lower price as of 11/16/23. Condition is used, not used as new. The GA site is having glitches with postings lately. Big bucks were spent on building this one. Converted to 280 Remington caliber. Custom thumbhole stock with rose colored foretip and and gripcap. Excellent varnish. Perfect black blue-ing on new barrel with shiny like-new bore. Magazine cap and trigger guard have excellent blue-ing. Bolt has been blued and is excellent finish except in the expected moving parts areas where it is wearing off. To accomodate a scope, the safety was converted to be in the fire position when flipped to the right, and to be in the Safe position when lifted 30 degrees to a defined catch. A stunning feature to this firearm that sets it apart from most sporters is the heat-treated metal on the receiver and frame. For comparison, Chiappa Firearms uses a heat treating procedure that produces a bronzed rainbow coloration to metal, like their Rhino pistol, and a skilled gunsmith did the same thing to this firearm on the receiver and receiver frame creating a beautiful two-tone rainbow metal effect as the bolt is black and was left untreated. I can provide several photos to a SERIOUS buyer showing the beautiful Chiappa-effect metal and all the other gorgeous attributes of this firearm. This gun loves the camera and I have around 50 high-res photos. There are only two minor flaws, one is a very small very light scuff in the varnish in the foretip area, there are no other handling marks. And the other is that the gun would benefit from a little more work to the stock so that the barrel lays in better. Some more sanding and some glass bedding under the barrel would put this gun over the top. I bought it a year ago and was going to do that myself but I have too many projects. The action is tight, and the gun operates flawlessly. Comes with what I think are Weaver mounts. I am not a dealer. I am a private individual selling this firearm from my personal collection.
