Construction is entirely steel, with a cast muzzle piece that incorporates swivel and bayonet lug and stud. The shield proper is tig welded on four positions at the muzzle collar. Correnct installation requires the shotgun’s magazine tube to be scored on three positions for the mounting screws to fit between the barrel and tube. Finish is brushed surface blued steel. These shields will fit Winchester models 1893, 1897, and 1912 with standard barrel diameters and magazine tubes. They will not fit a Heavy Duck magnum because if its heavy barrel.
