The TAC series is Rock Island Armory’s most versatile, all-around 1911, blending the rock-solid classic design with desired modern elements. Precisely engineered, the Tac Ultra CS is built entirely of 4140 ordnance steel and hand fitted at critical steps in the process to ensure proper function. A tough, matte-black, parkerized finish protects the gun, and well-textured G10 panels ensure a secure grip along with the frontstrap and flat mainspring housing treatments. The extractor is the traditional internal style, the ejection port is flared, and the grip safety has a prominent memory bump. The Commander-style hammer and the grooved trigger are skeletonized, the latter adjustable for over travel. Trigger pull is a light 4-6 lb. The no-bushing 3.5” button-rifled, bull barrel and full-length recoil rod help ensure accuracy by guaranteeing smooth cycling and tight lock up. There is NO (Zero) side-to-side or fore-and-aft play in the slide when in battery. Sights are dovetailed, consisting of a red fiber optic front and an LPA MPS1 low-profile, 2-dot rear, fully adjustable for elevation and windage. A full-length Picatinny tactical rail on the dust cover allows easy attachment of your preferred accessories. The supplied 7-rd mag is black steel with a padded base plate although the gun will take any standard 7-rd or 6-rd 1911 mag. The precision fitting, finish, and quality overall workmanship on this gun are rare in a gun at this price point!
