Winchester Mdl 1892 Saddle Rg Carbine - EL Tigre

Offered here is a Winchester Model 1892 Saddle Ring Carbine - Spanish Copy " EL Tigre " ( The Tiger ). This is a scarce Mexican ( Spanish ) copy of the M-1892 that was a favorite of Poncho Villa's Bandits and the Mexican Federal Army. -- The rifle caliber is 44 and serial number is A-26491. Manufacture date estimated to be 1890's t0 1920. Barrel length is approx. 22" and overall length is approx. 39 1/2". The bore is in excellent condition and action is very good. Aside from a few minor superficial dings and scratches as would be expected all of the wood is in quite good condition. The rifle still has a 4 piece cleaning rod in the butt stock. A letter from the Cody Firearms Museum with general information about the El Tigre is included.
