In a recent conversation, Drew from FosTech, Inc. provided insights into their latest creation – a drum magazine designed for the 50-caliber Barrett M107 and 82A1. With over a decade of experience in crafting drums, the company has now ventured into the realm of the powerful 50 BMG.

Drew shared that the inspiration behind the new product comes from the versatility of the 12-gauge round. It closely resembled the size of a 50-caliber round. The team re-engineered their billet drum to seamlessly accept a 50 caliber cartridge. This added a unique twist to their product line.

What sets this drum apart is its construction. A spring-loaded billet aluminum masterpiece, meticulously machined in-house from a solid chunk of aluminum.

Drew emphasized that the entire manufacturing process takes place in America. This happens specifically in Seymour, Indiana, reinforcing the commitment to domestic production.

I spent some time lugging a Barrett around the Iraqi desert. The gun itself got bitchy with a little sand in it. Now you want a magazine that let’s all the dirt in the world in, costs $1600 bucks and makes the damn thing even heavier…..perfect. 🙄
