Announced just a few weeks ago, CVA started offering the Cascade XT to take their first-ever centerfire rifle to the next level.
The XT or X-Treme model is designed to be the “precision-oriented” member of the Cascade lineup featuring a heavier fluted barrel and CVA’s own radial muzzle brake.
I have been in the process of reviewing the original CVA Cascade and am very impressed with it, especially when I factor in the price. This XT variant looks to expand on the original by providing a few more premium features.

Shooting the Cascade XT, the magazine fed nicely, the oversized bolt knob with 70-degree throw was easy to work with, and the rifle shot well.
Another upgrade is the camo chassis which I prefer over solid color options. The stock comes with two front sling swivel studs and a rubber recoil pad.

The rifle I shot was suppressed and sounded great, however, I was not able to try out their new radial muzzle brake. The barrel is threaded and ready for any muzzle device or suppressor of your choosing, but the radial muzzle brake looks sleek in the stock photos I found on CVA’s website.
