The T7 is “MP7 at home,” as some might say. Although, unlike the meme suggests, I really want one.

The T7 pistol, a long-awaited gem, is set to make its mark, proudly manufactured in the USA. This MP7 clone, offered by Tommy Built Tactical, may be many people’s only obtainable MP7 option, which gets me excited!

Crafted with precision, these pistols feature an injection-molded glass-filled polymer receiver, offering the perfect blend of durability and performance that firearm enthusiasts have eagerly anticipated.

A few changes from the original MP7 were made to the T7 to make this offering more appealing to the U.S. market. For example, there is M-LOK on the front end. Tommy Built will offer a flip-grip that can attach via M-LOK, which differs slightly from the MP7-A1 and how this grip attaches.

The other thing that Tommy Built included, or rather, removed from their T7 design is the sling loops on the rear of the gun. It was common for these sling loops on the MP7 to be removed by the end users as they would snag on their kit. You’ll find that everything else about the T7 is true to form.

The backplate of the T7 is not compatible with any attachments. If you wish to SBR and attach a stock (that Tommy Built sells), you will need to separately purchase a backplate for this purpose upon form 1 approval.

The T7 is chambered in the same HK 4.6x30mm chambering as the original MP7. This gun also comes with a 30-round German magazine which promises a reliable shooting experience. The T7 comes with a flash hider that pairs to B&T MP7 QD suppressors, keeping the platform quiet.

Other notable features of the T7 include the 7.2″ nitride-coated barrel, a German gas block, and a short-throw gas piston.

Tommy Built will only be releasing one T7 option, which will have a solid back plate and is classified as a pistol. NFA rules apply, but once you SBR this gun, you can then purchase a German collapsible stock and backplate, and/or the VFG (vertical foregrip) that Tommy Built will offer separately.
