Southport, CT— After hearing the unfortunate news of the Olympic Games postponement, we wanted to take this opportunity to express solidarity with our friends on the USA Shooting Team. To commemorate their hard work and dedication, we have created just 2,020 of these unique USA Shooting 10/22 Takedown® rifles. This patriotic new 10/22® boasts an attractive red, white and blue laminate stock with a Monte Carlo style comb and USA Shooting medallion inlaid in the buttstock. The limited run of commemorative models feature a special serial number range from 2020-001 to 2020-2020. This model comes packed in a USA Shooting carry-case and includes an enrollment card for USA Shooting as well as a “Shooting Is My Olympic Sport” decal. To help support our friends at USA Shooting in raising $50,000, a portion of the profits from these celebratory rifles will be donated directly to the USA Shooting Team to #raisetheflag.

  • Model features special serial number range 2020-001 – 2020-2020 and a nickle silver USA medallion on stock.
  • Easy takedown enables quick separation of the barrel from the action for ease of transportation and storage. Takedown is as simple as locking the bolt back and verifying that the rifle is unloaded, pushing a recessed lever, twisting the subassemblies and pulling them apart.
  • Simple reassembly allows for a secure connection of the barrel and action and returns the firearm to zero, even when receiver-mounted optics are used, ensuring consistent accuracy, shot after shot.
  • This legendary action is a tried and true Ruger design that ensures consistent, reliable performance.
  • Detachable 10-round rotary magazine features a unique rotor to separate cartridges and provide reliable feeding.
  • Easy-to-use, prominent magazine release provides smooth, no-fuss removal of flush-mounted magazine.
  • Precision-rifled, cold hammer-forged barrel.
  • Positive, push-button, cross-bolt manual safety.
  • Combination scope base adapter for both Weaver-style and .22 tip-off scope mounts included.
  • Heat-stabilized, glass-filled, polymer trigger housing assembly is precision made of high-tech material for improved manufacturing tolerances, impact and abrasion-resistance and an unmatched ability to withstand the elements.
  • The receiver and stock combine to create classic lines for attractive styling.
  • Compatible with the Silent-SR® sound suppressor
  • Also includes: USA Shooting carry-case and three 10-round magazines.

Reminder to all the power hungry Socialists: When you come for our guns, you have to take the bullets first!

OOPS! Walked away from the computer for a while and forgot I closed the article on proposed gun control legislation and opened this piece on the new Ruger.

They should make the 25 round magazine standard and start calling them the 25/22. I love my 10/22 which is now a 25/22. It’s about as perfect as a long arm could be compared to what it’s supposed to be. I suppose a take down model would be nice but I’ve had mine for about 30 years now and just don’t see the need for another one.
One thing I would like to see is a mod to allow it to shoot 22 shorts.
