The SIG Sauer MCX Spear LT in 7.62x39 is a factory-built semi-automatic pistol configuration with an 11.5 inch cold-hammer-forged barrel and a 28-round magazine. The Spear LT pistols are offered in a Coyote (Coyote Anodized) finish and are supplied as optic-ready pistols.
Built on an aluminum frame, the Spear LT features a lightweight M-LOK® aluminum handguard with a MIL-STD 1913 top rail, a SIG flatblade match trigger, and fully ambidextrous controls (selector, bolt catch and magazine release). The platform uses a short-stroke gas piston operating system and ships with a SIG QD-style suppressor-ready flash/SL muzzle device (QD interface), not a factory threaded barrel.
The model is marketed and sold as a modern sporting pistol with a rifle-class cartridge, intended for civilian sporting and professional/duty markets. The pistol variant weighs approximately 6.2 lb (empty) in the 11.5" 7.62x39 configuration.
