The Springfield Armory 1911 DS Prodigy AOS is a double-stack 1911-style 9mm pistol built around a forged carbon-steel frame and slide with a 5" match-grade bull barrel. The pistol ships optics-ready with the Agency Optic System (AOS) plates, a fiber-optic front sight and a black serrated rear sight, and includes both a flush 17-round and an extended 20-round magazine.
Designed as a performance-oriented 1911 variant, the Prodigy features a polymer grip module with Adaptive Grip Texture, an ambidextrous manual safety, a 2-piece full-length guide rod, and an accessory (Picatinny) rail. The 5" Prodigy combines modern capacity with traditional 1911 controls for competitive and range use.
