The Savage Axis II XP in Flat Dark Earth (FDE) is a factory package hunting rifle built on Savage’s Axis II platform. It ships with a factory-mounted, bore-sighted Bushnell/Banner 3-9x40mm scope over a 22in button-rifled sporter barrel and features thread-in barrel headspacing for consistent fit and performance. The rifle uses a tough FDE synthetic stock with a ventilated recoil pad, a user-adjustable AccuTrigger (2.5–6 lb range), a detachable 4-round box magazine, and a smooth bolt action designed for straightforward hunting and range use. The package is intended as an out-of-the-box hunting rifle with included optics and a removable magazine.
