This beautiful color case hardened receiver has House of Purdey rose & scroll engraving on all sides and " & Sons" engraved on both sidelocks. The trigger guard, tang, operating lever and Anson release forend hardware are also scroll engraved.
The straight grained and streaked European walnut has subtle fiddleback covering both sides and has a distinctive chestnut color and features 24 LPI checkering on the straight English grip and splinter forearm. The gold initials "WR" are recessed into the toe line.
The leather case with brass corners is essentially 'as new' and comes complete with a canvas travel cover. Both the case and cover are also initialed "WR". The accessories include a 2 piece wood cleaning rod, Purdey snap caps, oil bottle, keys and leather wallet containing brushes.
