Using the FH in conjunction with NVDs prolongs the service life of electro-optical equipment, since the device fully

Suppresses the muzzle flash and prevents saturation (overexposure) of the optics. The shock wave and propellant gases

Are directed forward along the line of fire and do not have a strong effect on personnel located near the weapon’s muzzle.

The adoption of a modern multi-contour design has substantially reduced the ingress of propellant gases through the

Ejection port, and the spark-suppression system fully prevents the generation of sparks when firing +P+ cartridges.

2.Construction and operating principle

The FH is non-disassemblable. It is manufactured from heat-resistant steel and light alloys. The FH consists of a two contour body, a conical separator, a tailpiece, and a spark-suppression system.

The FH is built on a symmetrical, two-chamber layout. As propellant gases follow the bullet through the FH, they are

Separated from it by the conical separator and cooled as they mix with ambient air, which results in suppression of the

Muzzle flash and directs the sound wave toward the target.

3. Technical specifications

The FH is intended for installation on the KR-9 carbine and for conducting single and automatic fire with all types of

Ammunition.

4. Installation and operation procedure

WARNING! Before installing or removing the FH, make sure the weapon is unloaded.

4.1. Remove the factory muzzle device from the weapon. Screw the FH onto the weapon’s muzzle until fully seated and

Secure it with the spring-loaded latch on the front-sight block. Ensure the FH is firmly mounted on the muzzle and that the

FH bore is coaxial with the weapon’s barrel.

4.2. When the FH is installed correctly on the weapon, the MPI does not change its position. After installing the FH on the

Weapon, a firing check must be carried out. The FH is then ready for use. On the first shot a small muzzle flame may occur

Due to the combustion of air trapped inside the FH’s internal cavity.

4.3. To remove the FH from the weapon, press the spring-loaded retainer on the front-sight block with a sharp/pointed

object and, while holding it depressed, unscrew the FH.

WARNING! To avoid burns, do not attempt to remove the FH immediately after firing.

5. Maintenance

After firing, remove the FH from the weapon, clean the mating threads of carbon fouling and lubricate them with a neutral

Rifle/gun oil. The internal cavity of the FH does not require cleaning. The FH must be inspected after each use. The FH must

Not have cracks, chips, dents, or signs of corrosion. If a weapon with the FH installed is dropped from a height greater than

3 m, inspect the FH and barrel for coaxial alignment. If misalignment between the FH bore and the barrel bore is detected,

Discontinue use of the FH.Before installing the FH on the weapon, apply a small amount of rifle/gun oil to the mating thread

At the muzzle; this will prevent thread seizure and allow the FH to be unscrewed without excessive force after a heavy firing

Session. Do not expose the FH to acids, alkalis, or solvents to avoid corrosion and possible structural failure.
