Official Rules

Synopsis

·       5 Guns, 10 Runners up

·       Free to enter and win.

·       You must register at GunsAmerica first and use http://www.gunsamerica.com/inviteafriend

·       Enter via email by asking your friends to visit GunsAmerica.com, no limit!

·       Enter via MySpace by posting bulletins.

·       You can post up to one bulletin per day. Every bulletin is one entry.

·       If you post 30 bulletins in August, you get 10 bonus entries

·       If you have more than 1000 friends you can post twice a day, over 10k friends 3x a day.

·       It doesn’t matter how many friends actually add us. It is all about how many bulletins you send.

·       We and Beretta USA guarantee nothing, but our contests generally go well.

1. NO SPAMMERS or GAMERS – This is a contest that by nature is subject to abuse by people who spam those they don’t know, and those who would try to register under many different accounts. THE VERY SIMPLE RULE IS THAT WE KNOW WHO THE WINNERS ARE BEFORE YOU DO AND THEY WILL BE INVESTIGATED FOR ABUSE. If we find any abuse, or spam, or gaming at all, we will just move on to then next person and you will never even know your name came up. Play it straight and if you win you win and if you don’t you don’t.
2. This is a simple random drawing for 5 winners, who will each win one of 5 guns provided to us by Beretta USA. The winners will choose which they want in the order that they are picked, the next in line being able to select from what is left. Winners must be able to legally own the gun they choose and must find a local FFL dealer to accept the shipment of the gun for them (there is a search for this on gunsamerica.com). The dealer may charge you a transfer fee which you will have to pay. GunsAmerica will pay to ship the guns from Beretta USA. There is no cost to the winners from our end. You are responsible for any taxes on prizes.
3. Because many people prefer to keep firearm ownership private, GunsAmerica does not require that we are able to use your name and image in advertising. We may request it, or you may offer it, but otherwise the winners full names will be kept private. We will use a first name last initial, and the city where you are from only.
4. There are also 10 runner up prizes. Each will receive a coupon for $50 in “Beretta Bucks” which are redeemable at shopberetta.com under their normal terms and conditions.
5. You may enter in two ways, via email and via MySpace, and you are welcome to enter in both ways. You must register for a GunsAmerica account beforehand in both cases, and signup at http://www.gunsamerica.com/inviteafriend. You will be prompted on that page to login or sign up for an account. You must also verify your email.
6. To enter via email, you must generate an entry code for yourself on the signup page. It will be sent to your email along with a sample email to send to your friends. If you friends then register on GunsAmerica, you will automatically be entered in the drawing once. You receive one entry per friend you sign up, and there are no limits. The friends have to be people known to you, customers of your business, or those who have otherwise sent you email or corresponded with you in some way. If we find one violation of this in your entries your entire entry will be disqualified.
7. This is mostly a MySpace promotion and this is the easiest way to enter multiple times, up to 100 times actually. GunsAmerica is not affiliated with MySpace in any way. We have a profile there like everyone else, and this is primarily a promotion to build our friends list, so that we may help connect the next generation of gun buyers to the shooting industry, and to their closest stocking gun dealer.
8. To enter via MySpace, you need to first have added GunsAmerica as a friend (http://www.myspace.com/gunsamerica) and send out “bulletins” from your MySpace profile. These automatically are sent to your entire “friends” list. You may send up to one bulletin a day, and you must log it on the contest page once you are logged in, the same http://www.gunsamerica.com/inviteafriend. If you send one a day for the entire month of August 2008, you will get an additional 10 entries as a bonus. You may miss one day, so there are 30 required.
9. For those with more than 1000 friends, you may send up to 2 bulletins per day, with each being an entry, and if you have more than 10,000 friends you may do 3 per day. The 10 bonus applies to everyone and only applies once, so if you have over 1000 friends you could technically get 72 entries (31 days x 2 + 10 bonus) and if you have more than 10,000 friends it is 102 (31 days x 3 + 10 bonus).
10. The winners will be checked before made official. We are logging all bulletins that come into our account, and because we are already your friend we will get what you send. ALL BULLETINS NEED TO BE RECORDED ON THE CONTEST PAGE AT GUNSAMERICA FOR YOUR ENTRIES TO BE RECORDED. Just sending out bulletins does not enter you. There is no way to automate this with MySpace without violating their terms and conditions.
11. The guns and “bucks” are being provided by Beretta USA, and neither GunsAmerica nor Beretta USA make any warranty that anyone is ever going to get anything. In today’s world there are no guarantees about the future, but overall Beretta has been reliable in getting contest winners their guns. GunsAmerica customer service will collect the information from the winners and make sure you have a dealer that can take the gun in for you.
12. If you are a first time gun owner we will endeavor to find an NRA certified instructor in your area to make sure you know how to safely use a firearm before you may take delivery of your gun. We will only have guns shipped to people who we have verified either already own guns or are willing to learn how to safely use a gun.
13. GunsAmerica and Beretta USA assume no liability for your use, non-use or misuse of the guns or anything else. By entering this contest you certify that you are able to legally own a gun, and take responsibility for a gun.
14. This is an experimental promotion and this is the first time we are trying this. Therefore we guarantee nothing and warrantee nothing. We are a web automation company and usually things go well, but past performance is no guarantee of future performance. By entering the drawing you agree to these official rules and they may change at any time.
15. The drawing will be held on Sept. 1, 2008. We will investigate the entries at that time and dertermine the actual winners, who will be notified by Sept. 30.
16. Anyone who can legally own the guns and who has not been banned from either GunsAmerica or MySpace may enter.
