SDS Imports is proudly introducing the PX9 Gen 3 by Tisas with a full lineup of nine new polymer-framed, striker-fired pistols for personal protection. The PX9 Gen 3 comes in three different models in three color options and all are factory-cut for mini red dot optics.
The three models are the PX9 Gen 3 Duty, Duty-TH and Tactical, and all three are available in black, flat dark earth and olive drab green. All of the PX9 Gen 3 pistols are chambered for 9mm Luger, feed from SIG P226-pattern magazines and use Glock-pattern sights.
Like previous generations, the Gen 3 models come with a full kit, including one flush 18-round magazine, an extended 20-round magazine, a detachable oversized magwell and a minimalist inside-the-waistband holster. They come with a fiber optic front sight, a serrated black combat-style rear ledge sight and a blanking plate to cover the RMR-pattern slide cut.
All three models use the same style of frame, with three sets of interchangeable grip inserts and a reversible magazine release for a custom grip. Unlike previous generation PX9 pistols, all model Gen 3 pistols are only offered with a bright red passive trigger safety, flat-faced trigger and no manual thumb safety.
The black models have a hard Tenifer nitride finish all around while the FDE and ODG models have a Cerakote finish on the slides to match the frames with a black Tenifer finish on the barrels and small components. Both options are widely used for their durability and corrosion resistance.
The Duty model is a carry-size version that combines the full-size frame with a mid-size 4-inch slide and barrel. The Duty-TH has an extended, threaded barrel and the Tactical model has a full-size slide in addition to an extended, threaded barrel.

The PX9 Gen 3 pistols have an unloaded weight of around 27 ounces, give or take, depending on the slide and barrel configuration. Other features include a cocked striker indicator on the striker retainer plate as well as a standard frame rail for accessories.
Pricing for the PX9 Gen 3 is approachable with the Duty models set at $499, the Duty-TH at $549 and the Tactical models at $599. SDS Imports still offers select Gen 1 and 2 models at very competitive sub-$400 price points
