This gun was used by the AMU in the 1960's at the National Matches at Camp Perry as well as internationally. It was originally chambered for the 300 H & H Magnum cartridge, then rechambered for the 30-338, and finally for an AMU experimantal cartridge based on the 300 H & H. This round produced about 3450 FPS with a 180 gr bullet and extreme accuracy. (300 H & H and 300 Weatherby can be used in the rifle if handloads are unavailable.) The rifle has its original Marksman stock and has been converted to a single shot by the AMU armorers and the trigger was reworked by them at that time. The rifle can be purchased with or without the Redfield 3200 target scope--if without less $400. This is a rifle with an interesting history with the U. S.
