This rifle is a very nice example of the Springfield Armory 30-40 Krag Jorgensen Model 1898 rifle that was used by American troops during the Spanish American war including the charge up San Juan Hill in Cuba. The rifle is in fine condition with a grey patine, shiny bore and the famous smooth Krag Jorgensen action, The stock is very nice walnut with few dings and a slight crack in the upper handguard in front of the rear sight. The receiver is stamped "Model 1898 US Springfield Armory" and the Serial Number.
