SS# 72xxx From a mid-west estate sale a Smith & Wesson 1905 (4th change) double action revolver 32/20 cal. At the sale they said this was an original unaltered gun. The wood grips are in excellent condition with no cracks or chips and only a few pressure dents (see photos). The metal finish is also good with some wear (see photos) and all appears to be original. I am not a collector or an expert and know very little about this type of gun. At the sale the only other information about the gun was that it is nearly 100 years old and is still in St. Joseph Missouri. After close inspection the gun seems to function perfectly, locks up tight and has a good bore in the 4" barrel, this gun should be a good shooter. This gun is in excellent mechanical condition, but shows signs of normal use (this gun is nearly 100 years old). This gun comes with a factory letter stating that the gun was shipped to Wyeth Hardware (located in St. Joseph Missouri) on Jan. 22nd 1917. We trade guns. Satisfaction guaranteed (see my feedback).
