Factory new in the box. In 2002, 1,000 pistol runs of the Models 17, "America's Heroes" were produced in memory of the Sept. 11, 2001 attack on the World Trade Center. Model 17 was serialed USA0000US-USA0999US. Each gun had a 0 in front of each serial number to keep the USA prefix on the pistols. On one side of the slide next to each other was lasered "PD" in a six sided star, "America's Heroes" in scroll, and "FD" in a Maltese cross. Pistols were distributed by Acusport to dealers, and were done to honor the NYPD and NYFD.
