The sheriff's model differs from the regular Navy in that it has a 5 1/5 inch barrel instead of the usual 7 inch barrel. Included is one (1) Confederate (Brass) Model 1851 Army Blackpowder Revolver with a 5 1/2 inch octagon barrel in caliber .44 along with one (1)extra cylinder and a left handed holster. The frame is Brass rather than steel, but that has no effect upon the strength and accuracy of these little pistols. The 5 1/2 inch barrel allows for a faster draw than the standard 8 inch barrel found on most black powder revolvers.
