Here is the descendant/competitor to its Texas elders, a product of Bond Arms, Inc., just up the road a piece from Waco, home of the distinguished American Derringer Corp. Among its refinements are, most conspicuous, a trigger guard and a spring loaded breech lever that prevents against accidental unbreeching during carry or use. Most crucial, as our company founder learned in about 1959, is the absence of a firing pin bushing. With bushing type breech faces, as in the old FIE derringers, and even in the excellent quality American Derringers, firing pins can freeze forward in the bushings and make the derringer discharge when it is closed shut, as our proprietor emeritus learned when he filled his hand full of #12 shot with a .22 FIE. We have seen the American Derringer bushings freeze the pin forward as well. The crossbolt safety on the Bond Arms is smoother than those of its competitor. All stainless steel construction puts this Texas Defender at 20 ounces empty, only 10 percent heavier than a Taurus Ultra-Light Revolver. Note the strong octagonal design of the 3 inch stainless barrels. Grips are Rosewood Laminate, very strong. Here is what Bond Arms says about their Texas Defenders. All Bond Arms pistols are computer numerically controlled, machining can maintain tolerances of .001 of an inch. This precision machining allows for perfect interchange of barrels without custom fitting. All Bond Arms pistols will accept 14 different barrels which will allow 24 different cartridges. Factory designation on this variant is the BATD 357/38, Texas Defender Stainless that handles .357 Magnum or .38 Special cartridges interchangeably. Replacement price on these in our neighborhood is upwards of $500 apiece. We're offering the BATD 9mm in the photo, however, or one of its identical mates, each for only $ 379.95 NOT FOR SALE TO CALIFORNIA, D.C., NYC OR MASSACHUSETTS DESTINATIONS.

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
