These were originally developed for sale to the Australian military but at the last minuter they went with the Steyr AUG. Bushmaster then modified the design for semi-auto only and released them for sale on the US market. Extras - Comes with original sling and one Bushmaster 30 round magazine and two 20 round mags. Factory scope QD mount, back up sights, and Simmons 1-4X Scope. Original Bushmaster case. Uses standard AR-15 magazines. A re-print of the original user manual is included. The barrel length is 21.5 inches, with 6 lands/grooves, and incorporates a 1:9" twist. The butt-stock is integrated into the rear of the receiver in typical bullpup style, and the pistol grip is sharply angled to facilitate an ergonomic and comfortable grip whether shooting from the shoulder or off the shoulder. It balances with one hand on the pistol grip. The carry handle also has a rail mounted to its top, allowing one to mount any type of standard optics. Aftermarket triggers, scope rails, and charging handles are available from K&M Aerospace. There are two 1/4" holes drilled crosswise at the butt, I assume these were for some type of aftermarket buttplate. There are also two approx 1/8" epoxy filled holes in the lower near the sear.
