It installs in the same manner as the original and requires no modification to your carbine. The carbine must be dis-assembled for installation making this legal in some locations. It is used but in very good functional condition. No dents, no rust, no damage at all. Has the original black lacquer finish. Made in China stamped on the base. This is the Star magazine that people either love or hate. You will love it if you are prepared with the following information. I had this magazine installed on my Russian SKS and to make it run, had a small (bb sized) ramp cut into the lower left side of the chamber face. (message me if you want a picture) This ramp compensated for the feed angle and directed the rounds into the chamber. My SKS then functioned flawlessly with this ramp and magazine. 100% reliable with HP, SP and FMJ ammo. I later tried this mag in my T56 Chinese SKS, without the ramp and it functioned perfectly as is. Your carbine may be different, but I'm confident that if you have feeding trouble, cutting a ramp will resolve the issue and your carbine will feed perfectly. I caution against modifying the magazine because it can be rendered useless with one slip of the hammer. Add 3.5% for credit card or paypal purchases. I will consider all trades.
