This fabulous set was made by The George Lawrence Company from premium skirting leather the holster has the embossed Lawrence Since 1857 safety strap snap cover, and the belt has an England 2" buckle. This set was originally assembled at The George Lawrence Company factory to accommodate a Colt Diamondback as indicated by the #DIBK marking on the back of the holster. This marking indicates this holster would have been made in 1966 or 1967 prior to The George Lawrence Company assigning the #650 to the Company holster number coding system as the designated number representing a Colt Diamondback 4". The George Lawrence Company riveted this Challenger Side Holster to the belt to keep it permanently fixed in place and is made for the right hand shooter. The George Lawrence Company #7 Gun Belt is measures 40" to the center hole on the billet and adjusts from 38" at the smallest setting up to 42" at the largest setting there is an additional hole at 43 ½" that should not be used and should not be there. This #7 Gun Belt was made by the George Lawrence Company with 25 individual ammunition loops to accommodate .38 caliber bullets. Both the#7 Gun Belt & the #1C-DIBK Challenger Side Holster are marked with the George Lawrence Company Portland Oregon maker mark logo which properly dates this set to the mid 1960 era.
