Caliber is 30-06 and serial number is 214,020. Manufacture date 1906. Expert states after examination, action probably proof tested after WWI, given a new barrel in November of 1942 and sent back out to WWII. Barrel length is approx. 24" and overall length is approx. 43 1/2". The front top of barrel is marked "S.A." above the bomb symbol and "11-42" below. Bore is shiny, very good lands and action functions smooth. Wood has some dings as would be expected but otherwise is in good condition. Has C stock. Overall condition considered to be very good. Note unusual markings on stock! Please see the pictures. FFL/C&R will be required prior to shipment. Standard 3 day inspection period. The prior owner, shot this gun with his teenagers and they were there, and nodded agreement. More pictures available. Would look good in a museum, with the markings.
