From our neighboring state of Kentucky comes this attractive, little fired specimen of the Desert Eagle series of pistols, in its most traditional form, the DE44 Desert Eagle. Manufacturer is Israel Weapons Industries, formerly IMI, of Ramat Ha Sharon, Israel. Since this transition occurred in 2005, we date the pistol itself to that year. Construction is entirely carbon steel. Type is gas operated semi automatic. verall length 10.6 inches; height 5.7 inches; width 1.25 inches; 8.5 inch sight radius; weight 66.9 oz empty; barrel is 6 inch with 1 in 18 polygonal rifling; 8 + 1 capacity of .44 Remington Magnum caliber ammunition. Trigger pull on this specimen gauges 6 pounds with a travel that feels like a two position trigger. This pistol comes in its original box with disassembly wrench, a total of two factory magazines, instruction manual, and warning tag. Magazines are dated from July of 1995. Serial number is 37200000 range, probably one of the first to be stamped IWI instead of IMI; so the magazines are older than the pistol. Surface detractions are moderate, faint amounts of finish weakening on the edges and occasional finish freckling. We rate it as Very Good, 80 to 85 percent vicinity by our estimate. Photos, at any rate, ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright and clean. From its condition, and from our acquaintance with its owner, we estimate this pistol has been fired between 300 and 400 times, no rounds at all for a Desert Eagle. Replacement pricing on the DE44 is upwards of $1700 in our area, and these are by no means common.
