SA371 Few Mossberg Shotguns require this apparatus, since most of the extended tube Maverick and Mossberg shotguns have their barrel lugs at the end of the magazine tube. Extended magazine tubes, however, have long been popular, and here is one of the most sturdy clamps ever produced. Smaller upper section anchors to any standard size 12 gauge barrel, and the bottom section is slightly larger to accommodate even a polymer tube. When a magazine tube extension sticks out 8-9 inches or more from the barrel lug, there is a danger of hitting the extension and damaging the main magazine tube itself or its threads.
