Flawlessly engraved floral scroll surrounds the reveiver, bolt mechanism, floorplate and scope rings. Inlaid gold wire outlines the geometric boundaries of the engraved pannels. Two gold bands circle the barrel at the muzzle end. The floorplate has been engraved with the N.H.S.R.A. logo and the barrel has a gold script "NHSRA Scholarship Rifle 2003" designation. Absolutely breath-taking California black walnut is used for the Monte Carlo, pistol grip stock. Dark on darker feathercrotch grain covers both sides of the stock from end to end. The forend features an extended ebony tip and the flared pistol grip has a perfectly fitted ebony cap with an inlaid white diamond. The gun is flawlessly oil finished of the finest walnut available. This gun comes in a lockable, custom built oak & leather travel case. The exterior is padded, burgundy colored leather with double stiching and the interior is padded tan fleece with leather accents and the Weatherby logo. This quality built case weighs 18 lbs 6 oz empty and comes with a tan cordura travel cover. This finest case would cost well over $2500 in today's market and is in perfect condition.
