It is in .38 WCF Colt caliber, shows lots of use with scattered pitting and virtually no original finish. The grips appear to have a slight brownish cast, and are gutta percha, with three small notches in the left one near the bottom of the back strap. Serial numbers are pictured but there are no barrel markings visible except faintly. Screw heads are in good shape and the cylinder pin is probably younger than the gun. Lock up is good and the bore is strong with only shallow pitting (I'd give it a 7 on a scale of 10), quite shootable. A Colt's authentication letter goes with the gun. The gun is accompanied by a vintage hand made leather holster of the period in good, supple condition.
