On consignment I have a Singer 1911-A1. Right side of barrel lug is marked 'HS', left side is marked 'P'. The HS likely is for Harrison Shaler, barrel inspector for Remington Rand on the 1911-A1 pistols. According to Flayderman, HS stamped barrels would have been correct for the Singer pistol. Gun has photo grips as well as original Keys grips. Provenance includes letter from grandson of original owner and full Military Service record - North Africa and Italy in WWII.
