A large diameter bullet traveling at moderate speeds (400 gr. at about 2200 to 2300 fps) will anchor an animal to the ground without destroying a lot of meat if hit in the vitals. The 416 Ruger provides excellent power in a standard length action making a very handy rifle. The Ruger M77 Hawkeye African features American Walnut with Ebony forend cap. It has a barrel length of 23" and has a 2" muzzle break. The metal is a medium polished blue. While the workmanship on this rifle is above average; there are two places on the stock that the CNC checkering was over run or incomplete.
