Description: NIB BUILT ON REGENT COMMANDER, 8+1 Capacity. The build consist of; Ed Brown Match Trigger and EMC SS Web Commander Hammer, , hammer/sear engagement stoned/fitted, Ed Brown Tactical thumb safety, ED Brown Bobtail Mainspring Housing, nice Beavertail high rise grip safety and all the gunsmith works. Bobtail prevents that distinct 1911 point from showing and imporoves grip comfort. Gun is finished in CeraKote Matt Tungsten with semi-gloss .Graphite Black Crisp trigger break at 3 3/4-4#'s no creep or overtravel.Comes with 1- 8rd mags. If you are interested in more about import 1911's read below. This is a real A Gunsmiths View on 1911’s and Getting What You Pay For(email me for the full What makes a good 1911? Is it Made in the USA, Springfield’s and Taurus are from Brazil some upper end Springfield’s are assembled in the USA but the frames and slides are made in Brazil like the Taurus. Some of the best value buy 1911’s available are made in the Philippines and are every bit as good or better than many USA made 1911’s in much higher price ranges.

MIM Parts? No MIM parts in true customs! But Kimber 1911’s are full of MIM, so are Springfield, Colt, Para, Taurus, STI, High Standard, AC, etc. If you start with a good quality Mil Spec slide, frame and barrel the rest are just parts, some better than others but still just parts. Kimber's are Kimber's because they use good “quality controlled” parts and are fit together by 1911 craftsmen .I did use Springfield GI’s as a base model to build custom 1911’s now I am using High Standard GI’s, the frames are as good, the base gun is cheaper and the rest are parts! With today’s (2011) metallurgy and CNC equipment there are very few bad 1911’s. Some are less expensive most of which is found in the finishing. Trigger and hammer tracks are not stoned, slides are not lapped smooth, triggers are not hand tuned, etc. and this is where you get what you pay for; sometimes.

A question that comes up often is about 1911’s made in the Philippines. “What is the differences between High Standard, Rock Island, Citadel, Daly, etc. all made by Armscor in the Philippines?” My suspicion is this; different importers (brand) set different specifications and tolerances and Armscor produces the firearms to those specifications.High Standards are Lipsey’s exclusives and use the High Standard trademark and set their specifications higher than some others; the Legacy Citadels are also of the same higher quality. The American Classic brand by Metroarms and ATI Titan by Shooters Arms are both made in the Philippines and produce unbelievable quality products that rivals and exceeds many of the better known brands. Every one of their firearms that I have seen is excellent , tack driver . I have a small business and can’t afford to stock as many weapons or brands that I would like. I like to offer good quality and value, not just inexpensive 1911’s. Mostly, I try to do business and develop relationships with people and offer a little extra in the way of service. As to my choice of 1911’s to sell it is open but limited due to the afore mentioned constraints. For compact 1911’s I sell High Standard, Legacy Citadel and ATI Titan for a SS model. For a Commander size 1911 I haven’t found a value 1911 even nearing the American Classic Commander. With full-size or Government model 1911’s there are many to choose from. Right now I stand behind the American Classic II as the best quality/value available for a full-size and the High Standard GI for a Government model. IF you want a Kimber, Colt, S&W, Sig, Para, etc. they are readily available,
