There is some debate about the years of production and transition from the Mossberg 144 LSA and the variant that includes our specimen of the 144 LSB. Production on the latter ended, we are told, in 1985. Early specimens are known to exist, however, from the mid to late 1960s, and that age range meshes with what we know of this one’s origins, from its FFL store front Louisiana owner who operated in St. Tammany Parish during the 1960s. Serial number is 925000 range, low for any Mossberg. All 144s, of course, descend from the highly prized 144 US, one of the training rifles that worked in tandem with the legendary 1903 Springfield Series during World War II. Barrel is 26 inch Heavy, wide slotted beavertail match stock with original factory permanent swivels; Globe front sight and aperture receiver sight. Weight empty is 8 pound vicinity, and the original blue steel magazine holds 7 rounds of .22 Long Rifle caliber ammunition. Surface detractions on this 144 LSB are minimal to moderate, principally light inconspicuous freckling to the blue finish, and brown toning to the never-blued bolt handle. Stock scuffing is minimal. We rate this 144 as Very Good, perhaps even Excellent, 85 percent vicinity by our estimate. Photos, at any rate, ought to suffice so that our distinguished shoppers can judge finish grade for themselves. This rifle is Excellent mechanically; bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. We’re offering this prize heavy barrel Louisiana Mossberg 144 LSB for only $ 389.00. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> $20 flat fee lower 48 states; $60 Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico, UPS Ground with full insurance coverage. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
