Description: Remington Model 31 12 Gauge sn88823 - CUSTOM TRAP, ARNOLD GRIEBEL ENGRAVED, WOW!

The Remington Model 31 has long been known by "shell shuckers" as the finest made, smooth as silk, pump gun ever made. They say that the action "slides on ball bearings", it is that smooth! Made for only a brief period from 1931 to 1949, less than 200,000 were ever produced. This gun has fantastic engraving from the well known master Arnold Griebel from the Chicago area. Griebel executed some of the finest engraving America has ever produced in the 1940's through mid 1960's, and this is one of his works of art. With deeply chiseled vine and leaf scroll and deep relief realistic game scenes it is no wonder his work is highly sought after. The custom stock was built by J.L. Docwiller out of Redlands, CA, a stockmaker well known for stocking some of the finest trap guns in the country. This is an exquisite example of the gunmakers art on the best available platform for the shooter that loves the pump gun. The value of the artwork exceeds our asking price and to have it reproduced with an equal artist executing the engraving would be years in the making and just the engraving would cost our asking price of the gun.

This is an investment grade shotgun that you can shoot competitively on the trap line!
