Manufacturer is Savage Arms Canada, of Lakefield Ontario. Importer is Savage Arms of Westfield, MA. Type is bolt action clip fed repeating rifle. Caliber is .22 Winchester Magnum only. Construction is all steel parts, with the exception of the polymer trigger guard. Barrel is 21 inch blue steel, 1:16 rifling, with dovetailed blade front sight and step elevator blue steel rear sight. Receiver is one piece steel, drilled and tapped to accept a pair of Weaver #16 or similar mount bases. Bolt is white steel bolt proper with twin extractors, and blue steel handle and rear body. Safety lever is knurled blue steel, situated behind the bolt on the right side as the photos show. Magazine is 5 shot blue steel, leaf spring loaded retention system, and magazines are readily available for these rifles, .17 and .22 Magnum magazines interchange. This rifle features Savage’s accu-trigger that holds the pull to a crisp 2 1/2 pounds, enables easy breathing accurate long shots, and eliminates the need for gunsmith tuning. Stock is cut checkered dark stained hardwood, 13 5/8 inch length of pull from the trigger face to the end of the buttplate. Weight empty is 5 3/4 pounds, with center of gravity at the magazine.
