From the machined aluminum side-folding stock to the premium GUN-KOTE™ finish, this is a true professional tactical conversion. Every detail has been carefully thought out before our craftsmen perform the conversion. We select premium components that complement the incredible reliability of the AK47 design. The USA mfg. side-folding stock, hinge, and receiver block are made from aircraft grade aluminum. This is the strongest side folding stock available. We machine the muzzle of the barrel and install mil-spec 14:1 metric left hand threads that accept all AK47 muzzle breaks and flash suppressors. The AK Spike muzzle break has slots on the left and right side, and is ported on the top. This offers significant muzzle control, especially in rapid fire mode. The heavy duty spikes provide a tactical entry tool for breaking glass and drywall. The trigger guard is moved next to the mag latch and a customized G2 trigger group is installed. We install a bullet guide so you can use ALL AK47 magazines and drums! You are not limited to the more expensive proprietary Saiga-only mags! We proudly feature GUN-KOTE™ premium firearms metal coating & finish on our SAIGA-XTR side-folding rifle. Premium GUN-KOTE™ is superior to parkerized, blued, and paint finishes in both durability and performance. It was first specified by the U.S. Military for use on SOCOM Special Sniper Weapons (SPR’s) in 2003. GUN-KOTE™ satin matte black finish protects metal parts from rust, corrosion, & scratches and will not break down, peel or dissolve. GUN-KOTE™ is resistant to all known gun solvents, oils, and thinners. GUN-KOTE™ is a highly specialized, hard, abrasion resistant coating that meets ALL MILITARY SPECIFICATIONS for protective metal coatings. GUN-KOTE™ is formulated to provide excellent impact resistance, lubricity (meets military dry firing specs), heat dissipation, chemical resistance, corrosion protection, durability, and scratch resistance. It is specially formulated for salt corrosion protection and meets the US Military requirements for "Resistant to Chemicals". GUN-KOTE™ has outstanding heat dissipating qualities, temperature variation durability, and lubrication qualities. The quad-rail forearm is made from machined aluminum and features four full length rails. Black rubber rail guards are included for comfort and a better grip. The ergonomic Israeli pistol grip has precise finger groves, sure grip texture, and storage compartment with a removable battery caddy that holds two CR123A lithium batteries. The Angled Foregrip provides a stable shooting platform that allows for more precise weapon control. By positioning your hand high on the center-line of the bore, the Angled Foregrip helps distribute recoil and offers better control of the weapon to facilitate faster, more accurate follow-up shots.
