This PSS suffix product numbered variant is a special edition polished or bright stainless model, prettier than the classic old Taurus Nickel revolvers from the 1970s. Weight empty is 27 ounces; sights are traditional Red Ramp Front / White Outline Rear, fully adjustable for windage and elevation. This is a single and double action revolver. It has both an internal transfer bar safety and the Taurus patented internal hammer lock that is the least obtrusive of all revolvers’ internal locks. Finish is an excellent special edition polished bright stainless with diminished glare serrated sight upper surfaces. Hammer and trigger are traditional satin stainless, very similar to the original Smith & Wesson 1977 Stainless Kit Guns, and the grip is a very comfortable Taurus factory rubber combat grip with finger grooves and palmswells. A word about the .22 Magnum caliber itself. According to the little-heeded 1986 FBI Report that dispelled the fanciful but popular and persistent notion of handgun stopping power, this is about as lethal a caliber as a person can get, the .22 Magnum, in a handgun. Twelve inches of penetration is not a problem with this caliber. It is effective, too, with CCI’s .22 magnum shotshells. This revolver is brand new in its original box with all its papers, and the buyer will receive the 941 in the photo or one of its identical mates.
