This Colt commercial in 455 Webley caliber is from British Royal Air Force contract of January 2, 1918 which was for 5000 pistols at 400 per month. According to the serial number (W101494) it was shipped either in September or October. The gun’s finish is original and about 90 % or better. It has all the correct Broad arrows and crossed pennants and the inspector stamp for G W R Stedman who was the British inspector assigned to Colt. The magazine is correct and marked 455 Eley which was the so called improved Webley cartridge. The frame, slide and barrel all have the correct “E” stamp although the one on the barrel leg is very faint. I took a lot of pictures so look them over and ask any questions you may have. This is a very nice example of a rather rare Colt.
Shipping will be $40 and includes insurance. FFL required, C&R ok
