This listing is for One Set of Grips; winning buyer, however, may take any number of extras at the same per-set price, or any combination of small light items with no additional shipping charges. Here are some 1970s grips from the heyday of the Colt Python. These are manufactured in Italy and imported by Sile during the 1970s, and we found fewer than a dozen sets of them in an old Southern Warehouse a couple of years ago. Construction is genuine European Walnut, dark stained with substantial figuring, and machine checkered. Note that these are Right Hand shooter only, as the left panel has a thumb rest. Screws are original chrome plated with some green toning and brass escutcheons. All these are in their original boxes, sile factory number C-0TR. They fit any I frame Colt Revolver: not only the Python, but also the Officer’s Model Match, Officer’s Model Target, Official Police, pre-Mark III Trooper made before 1969, and the World War II favorite Commando revolver. They are period correct for any of these variants that Colt made from the later 1960s up until the mid 1990s. Photo shows a set installed on a 1966 Official Police that served with the Maryland State Police. Revolver, of course, is not included.
