1892 winchester take down rifle 2ND year of production ser # 16xxx ,in very good condition, very good bore , brite and shiney the very faintest amt of pitting near the chamber ,if yo dont look really good you wont see it,its there so im telling you!
The rifle has a 24 inch bbl , cresent butt plate , octagon take down bbl , the gun is as it left the factory.I measured the distance fron the front of the front sight to the muzzle,it is exactly 3/4 of an inch right out of the Madis book , the wood is in good overall condition , the gun is all original, it does have worn blue on the receiver and bbl and magazine has honest 75%blue remaining, case colors are all faded but slightly visible on the lever and hammer,the butt plate color is gone but in very nice condition , i beleive it was once case colored also,it is shiney now.sights are original to he gun , or at least to the period , to me they look original to the gun.
This is a very fine example and there a very few out there so this is a fairly rare 1892 winchester.
Please look carefully at the photos as i am not trying to hide anything from you . I will give a refund on a gun if i have misrepresented it only,ans i assure youthis will not happen , I have sold many guns on this site , and never had a request for a gun to be returned!
Also the address on the bbl is bold as is the model 1892 located on the tang.
