Already have an account? Login Contact Seller Description: Smith & Wesson Model 547 Military & Police Revolver serial #16D1203, 9mm, 3" heavy barrel with an excellent bore. This pre-1982 made revolver remains in beautiful condition with about 99% original blue finish with a few minor handling marks and faint wear at the muzzle. The smooth combat trigger and flat faced semi-bobbed hammer retain bold case-hardened colors with light operational wear. The checkered goncalo alves round butt target grips with speedloader cut out and silver S&W medallions rate excellent. The Model 547 was made for about five years with a little over 6,400 in this configuration. They had several unique features including a special star extractor with spring loaded fingers designed to function on the rim of the case and extract without clips, a spring loaded retainer pin mounted above the firing pin to hold the cartridge case in place during firing (activated by the hammer), the right side of the barrel is marked "9 MM CTG. PAT. 4127955" and timing and lock up are excellent. Includes an unlabeled factory box and manual. This model was designed for police or defensive use and finding high condition examples can be difficult. This excellent gun would be a great addition to any Smith & Wesson collection.
