Description:
A very fine Banker's Special.
The bore and cylinders are perfect, bright and clean, bore has deep lands and grooves with no frosting, no fouling. Lock-up is vault tight, with zero play, and no end-shake. Head-space is paper thin, there was no need to gauge it. Timing is perfect, with perfect bolt engagement in single or double action, fast or slow. Rachet and hand are in excellent condition as well.
The bluing is wonderful, near full coverage. Barely any carbon fouling to the cylinder face, none at the recoil shield. Nomenclature is strong and deeply rolled. Pony is strong, does show a light strike of the front hoofs and spear.  No metal or grip damage. Grips show near perfect checkering, sparse flattened points. Very fine grips.
In-all, this is a very fine, very desirable, very collectible .38 Banker Special, circa 1935.
