Here is Sig’s factory barrel for its 1911 Pistols chambered in .38 Super caliber and constructed to withstand +P, high pressure ammunition. Manufacturer is S&T Motiv Co., Ltd., Republic of Korea – South Korea, under license to Sig Sauer of Newington, NH. This is a Sig Sauer factory issue barrel, and so marked. Construction is entirely stainless steel. Finish is brushed surface with matte verticals. Length is 5 inches, government length, with six groove 1:16 right hand rifling. Chambering is for .38 Automatic and .38 Super calibers interchangeably. This barrel will Only fit a 1911 government sized frame that is slotted to accept a supported ramp. It will not fit a standard 1911 frame with an integral ramp. Barrels like this usually require fitting by a competent armorer or gunsmith.
