Construction is steel barrel, slide, magazine body, levers, and internal parts assembled into a steel reinforced polymer frame with poly trigger and magazine release. Type is Austrian style striker fired semi automatic pistol, but the trigger resets without the slide having to cycle. Chambering is 9mm Luger Caliber, with 6 groove right hand 1:250mm conventional rifling. Trigger is .400 smooth faced, pulls over a smooth consistent 18mm distance with 3.5 kg or 7.7 pounds of pressure. Bore axis is a low 22mm. Sights are steel dovetailed white dot that are drift adjustable only for windage. Frame incorporates a 4 slot M1913 Picatinny rail in front of the trigger. Magazine release is ambidextrous. Capacity is 17 rounds of 9mm ammunition, so 17 + 1 fully loaded capacity. Magazine dimensions are virtually identical to the Smith & Wesson M&P 9, only with a front release slot similar to Rugers. Disassembly lever is left side, serrated, and its design avoids the insane Austrian process of having to pull the trigger before removing the slide. Dimensions are 7 3/4 inches overall length; 5 3/8 inches height; and 1.147 lateral thickness at the lever. Weight empty is 800 grams, 28 ounces, centered at the slide face. Finish is matte blued and stippled surface polymer. Each TM9 comes in its factory zippered case with instruction manual and lock.
