This listing is for the exact pistol in the photos. Here is Smith & Wesson's economy version of its signature 5900 series, the 910. Production lasted from 1995 until 2004. From this one’s VCU serial number prefix, it was manufactured in 1995, First Year of Production.  Type is locked breech, hammer fired, traditional double and single action semi automatic pistol. Construction is steel barrel, hammer, trigger and internal parts combined with a lightweight alloy frame; its sights and guide rod, however, are hard polymer. Barrel is 4 inch stainless ball joint muzzle, with 5 groove right hand 1:18.75 rifling. Slide is cast matte surface steel, with no milling on the slide edges. Slide still has serrations forward of the safety lever, and with .915 width at the port. Sights are dovetailed front and rear, 3 dot factory polymer Combat. Frame is lightweight alloy, with smooth grip frame.  Grips are one piece third gen with curved mainspring housing. (Guns America's new rules don't allow for much description) This 910 comes from the home jurisdiction of Borinquen Air Station in the Caribbean, strategic watch point against Castro’s Communists and South American drug traffickers. It is (re) import stamped on its trigger guard. Surface detractions are moderate, principally edge wear. We rate this910 as Very Good, 80 percent vicinity by our estimate; but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright and clean. We estimate this pistol has been fired fewer than 1500 times for annual qualification, no rounds at all for a 910 Smith & Wesson. It is still attractive, and eminently serviceable and collectable.
