Israel Weapon Industries, or IWI, just announced a second generation of Galil ACE rifles and pistols, with a number of welcome updates.

“IWI is excited to introduce an extremely limited edition of Galils chambered in 5.45x39mm with barrel lengths of 8.3 and 16 inches,” said IWI in the announcement.

The polymer-framed, striker-fired Masada mimics the best attributes of its 9mm plastic-gun predecessors. It’s optics-ready and comes with four plates to accommodate the Trijicon RMR, Vortex Venom, Leupold Delta Point Pro, and Sig Sauer Romeo1.
