It pops open like a Transformer toy from the ’80s, and it’s pretty cool.
It utilizes a Locked bridge-style semi-automatic action. The magazine is on top and feeds horizontally backward to the action, then drops the casings out the bottom of the grip. The bore axis is very low.
Bill says they’ve got thousands and thousands of rounds through them without failures. He recommends using Federal Punch .22LR ammo.
It’s also very easy to open and load or clean. It pops open to expose the magazine and reveal the barrel and action, which removes easily for cleaning.
The magazine holds 10+1 and it cocks and chambers when it is opened, though he recommends carrying it with one in the chamber.

The engineering involved with this is intriguing. I do question how quickly it can be deployed and if it is truly reliable.
It’s an interesting concept, I like it better than the other folding options that have come out in the past. It’ll be interesting to see how well they perform and if they can bring the price down on them. I do have doubts about the consistency of a rim-fire cartridge and personally prefer .32 ACP, but I think it has potential if it can work consistently.
Theres a rape going on alright and its to anyone stupid enough to plunk down $900 bucks for this stupid little pistol. Whats a Ruger LCP 22Lr cost? Just because you can build something dosen’t mean you should. They’ll be gone in a year.
A Ruger LCP chambered in .380 is much smaller and packs alot more punch especially with hollow points.Any felon regardless of size getting a gut or chest full of these would certainly get an attitude adjustment real quick!!!
Despite comments something else around longer and proven, the innovation here is rather astounding. Those predecessors faced the very same rejection, in a far narrower field to boot. .22RF and that ammo not to be sneezed at.
One advantage, it appears so non-threatening, so light weight and compact, it doesn’t need a IWB holster, not even a pants pocket. Undeployed, and being therefore so unfamiliar it’s unlikely to be used against owner, should control of it be lost.
Cost, once they ramp up, could improve, yet to be seen.
For that price, why not carry $899 in your pocket to bribe the rapist not to proceed? Much more effective than this conbobulation.
A Keltec p32 is cheaper, simpler, more powerful, just point, shoot. With extreme penetrators is viable for sd. It’s way more pleasant to shoot than the 380’s. Carry the most power you feel comfortable with!
Amen. The P32 is the American Express ‘don’t go anywhere without it” option. Reliable centerfire cartridges and option for a 10 rnd mag. Been around forever and just keeps going.

Too expensive, too complicated to deploy under stress. Better guns for this purpose have been around for 100 years. Still looks like a gun when folded.
